RSU wins four statewide PR, marketing awards | News

The Rogers State University Office of Communications and Marketing earned four awards through the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association’s annual awards competitors held earlier this month.RSU graphic designer Kate Northcutt earned second place within the Holiday Greeting class for her work on the Oklahoma Military Academy Alumni Association vacation card. Randy Riggs (BA ’04) earned third-place within the Shoe String class for his work on an augmented actuality design for Snapchat that enables customers to show themselves into the RSU mascot Hunter the Hillcat. His work on a guerilla marketing marketing campaign titled Free Compliments earned second-place within the Bright Idea class and third-place within the Shoe String Category.
During the previous decade RSU has earned 37 OCPRA awards, together with eight first-place awards within the annual competitors amongst all Oklahoma private and non-private schools and universities starting from two-year schools to the state’s complete universities. Brandon Irby, RSU director of communications and marketing, begins his one-year time period as president-elect of the OCRPA Board of Directors this month and is slated to function the 2022-23 president.The mission of the Office of Communications and Marketing is to guard, promote, and handle the college’s picture whereas advancing the college’s mission by means of the efficient use of communication and marketing methods. Formerly often known as the Office of Public Relations, it maintains clear, open and proactive relationships with all media shops and gives an array of in-house companies to the college together with graphic design, publication growth, pictures, marketing in addition to internet and social media-based communications.
