Sitchu is looking for a passionate, data-savvy Shopping & Partnerships Editor to lead a strategic expansion in shopping and commercial content for the brand.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of e-commerce trends, consumer behaviour, and a keen eye for selecting and showcasing the best products and services across fashion, beauty, home design and interiors. This role requires a strong editorial background, exceptional writing skills, and a knack for creating engaging and visually appealing content that resonates with our audience.
Reporting directly to Sitchu’s National Editor, the Shopping & Partnerships Editor will collaborate closely with the whole Sitchu team across editorial, brand, marketing, partnerships, as well as external partners to deliver high-quality, shoppable and commercial content that enhances the user experience and drives revenue growth.

Responsibilities
• Lead, develop, plan and execute a comprehensive affiliate content strategy, featuring daily shoppable content across fashion, beauty, interiors and lifestyle
• Research, pitch, and curate engaging and trend-driven shopping content
• Identify insights, trends and opportunities to commercialise existing opportunities to further drive new business across the Sitchu ecosystem
• Support the Partnerships Manager to respond to inbound briefs and collaborating on creative ideation and concepts, plus seeing through the execution to deliver content that meets client expectations and aligns with Sitchu’s core values
• Establish and maintain brand, retail and commercial partnerships to secure exclusive collaborations and promotions
• Implement SEO strategies to drive traffic and improve organic search rankings
• Analyse and track performance data, continuously optimise content output and report findings to the team to refine strategies and make data-driven decisions
• Oversee and edit shopping and commercial content supplied by other writers/freelancers
• Assist the team to reach commercial and content growth KPIs
• Stay informed about industry happenings and product releases through PR relationships and media events
• Continuously optimise shopping and lifestyle content and shoppable moments across all brand platforms (digital and print)
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or related field, or relevant work experience
Min 4 years experience as an editor or writer in the e-commerce, fashion, or lifestyle industry
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and a flair for creating compelling and SEO-friendly content
Strong organisational and project management skills, adept at handling multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external commercial partners
Strong knowledge of social media platforms and their role in driving engagement and traffic.
Experience with CMS platforms, SEM Rush, Google Analytics, and affiliate marketing networks (Linkby, Skimlinks, etc)
Able to translate data into strategy and communicate it clearly with the team
Well-versed in building strong client and PR relationships and staying on top of industry happenings
Details:
Position: Full-time, permanent
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9 am – 5:30 pm (attending events outside these hours from time to time and some working from home flexibility).
Location: Sydney (Lane Cove) or Melbourne (South Melbourne) Office
