DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Vice President of Marketing (“VPM”) is an Executive Leadership Team member and Chair of TruFit Athletic Clubs (“TruFit”) Marketing Council. The VPM is responsible for leading the Marketing team while collaborating with external agencies to build TruFit’s brand and marketing strategies to drive profitable member growth.The VPM builds on TruFit’s high-performance culture that develops, empowers, and recognizes great teammates that deliver an exceptional member experience to create a safe and enjoyable fitness home where our members’ trust is earned every day. The VPM is expected to be self-motivated, self-reliant, organized, driven to succeed, and able to handle concurrent projects and assignments while working within a fast-paced environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEssential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:As an Executive Leadership Team (“ELT”) member, you will partner closely with the ELT to develop annual marketing plans and strategies and drive such strategies through the district and club level teams to ensure current marketing promotions are properly displayed, executed and promoted by teammates.As Chair of the Marketing Council, the VPM will conduct market research and propose new strategies to ensure maximum profitability.Work with website providers for regular updates, website health and performance. Lead strategic web performance efforts around SEO and lead conversion efforts on the web.Analyze existing brand, creative and marketing strategies to improve upon them.Lead CRM efforts (email/text) around promotional campaigns, attrition prevention and member engagement. Work with agencies to develop, execute and report on campaign efforts.Closely monitor the competitive landscape and report on pricing and marketing promotions being offered by the competition.Manage a variety of promotional projects end-to-end, including paid media (digital and traditional), digital marketing techniques and creative development.Ensures the marketing department monitors daily Google reviews, social comments and customer service emails, collaborates with club level operations, and takes a proactive approach to addressing member concerns.Responsible for the successful attainment of monthly company targets (eg. New member acquisition, CPA, CPL, etc.)Professionally represent TruFit, know all company policies and procedures. Be the EXPERT.Ability to effectively communicate throughout the entire organization including our stakeholders and Board of DirectorsAccountable for day-to-day marketing performance, resource allocation, team development and results.Communicate monthly business strategy, progress and results to the Executive Team, MarketingCouncil and, as needed, to the Board of Directors.Collaborate with finance and production during the annual budget process to define annual marketing spend and expected results in line with company objectives. Once developed, maintain monthly marketing spend within budgeted guidelines while achieving member goals & objectives.Willingness to travel into markets at least twice monthly or more often as needed.RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of:15+ years of experience in a senior role such as Marketing Director, VP of Marketing, or similar while operating in a large, complex, strategically important, multi-state business in the fitness industry having directed marketing efforts for 25+ big box fitness clubs.Building and developing high performance marketing strategies and teams while collaborating with external agencies and internal stakeholders.Monitoring and evaluating marketing KPI’s including, but not limited to, CPL, CPA and average dues/member.Knowledge and proficiency in Google AdWords, SEO, and web analytics/lead conversion funnels.Collaborating with membership sales and fitness services to create monthly marketing strategies for business development and achieving sales goals across the organization.Building rapport with, and gain the confidence of, existing membership sales and fitness services organizations to quickly integrate into the current team while adapting to, and fostering, the TruFit’s culture.BSc in marketing, branding, business, PR, or a similar field.Physical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a teammate to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
