  • 0:19 | and running right so there’s many times
  • 0:21 | where still I don’t even use a landing
  • 0:22 | page okay so for example I do a lot of
  • 0:25 | YouTube reviews and you’ll notice say if
  • 0:27 | I’m reviewing a product the audience is
  • 0:29 | going to know EX exactly what the
  • 0:30 | product is about you know for the most
  • 0:32 | part obviously if they’re watching it
  • 0:33 | they’ve heard of it so what I will do is
  • 0:35 | leave my link in the description in my
  • 0:37 | opinion I’m not looking to collect leads
  • 0:39 | at that specific moment so I’m not
  • 0:41 | really looking for an opt-in page I’m
  • 0:43 | also not looking for a page where it
  • 0:44 | says like hey if you get this you’re
  • 0:45 | going to get a 100 other bonuses well
  • 0:47 | there might be a time and place for that
  • 0:49 | usually if someone is looking to review
  • 0:51 | a specific product I just want to get
  • 0:53 | them straight to the product once they
  • 0:54 | are there and a lot of times the same
  • 0:56 | thing can go with email marketing you
  • 0:57 | might just directly Link in your e email
  • 1:00 | from your email to the actual sales page
  • 1:02 | okay so those are just some examples
  • 1:05 | okay there’s going to be plenty more but
  • 1:06 | overall you’re probably also going to
  • 1:08 | want to use landing pages because it’s
  • 1:10 | probably the most efficient and one of
  • 1:12 | the best ways to increase your
  • 1:13 | conversions okay first of all I don’t
  • 1:16 | know how much Bing has changed over the
  • 1:18 | years but I know they were one of the
  • 1:19 | paid ads platforms that would allow you
  • 1:21 | to direct link I haven’t used them to
  • 1:23 | recently so I don’t remember if that’s
  • 1:25 | how it is so what they’d allow you to do
  • 1:28 | is pretty much just have you know an ad
  • 1:30 | and have it go straight to your like
  • 1:31 | affiliate link right but not all ad
  • 1:34 | platforms are like that I know
  • 1:35 | definitely with Facebook and I know
  • 1:37 | there’s a lot of actual just programs
  • 1:39 | that have affiliate programs where they
  • 1:41 | don’t want you to direct link they want
  • 1:42 | you to send it to a Lander so instead of
  • 1:44 | say going straight to there as we did
  • 1:47 | let’s remove this what you would do is
  • 1:49 | you go say to an opin page and then once
  • 1:51 | they opt in you could say you know send
  • 1:52 | them to a sales page now the reason why
  • 1:54 | this is so important because a lot of
  • 1:56 | people have crunched numbers I’ve done
  • 1:57 | it before many other marketers have have
  • 1:59 | done it before is they realize how much
  • 2:01 | and often is actually worth like the
  • 2:04 | standard you know dollar per subscriber
  • 2:06 | is around a dollar that’s if you’re
  • 2:08 | doing pretty well right I’d say it’s not
  • 2:10 | the easiest thing in the world but
  • 2:11 | there’s obviously times where they’re
  • 2:13 | much higher than that and there’s going
  • 2:14 | to be plenty of times if they much lower
  • 2:16 | if you’re not getting great traffic or
  • 2:18 | you know insufficient leads and so on
  • 2:20 | and so forth so what happens is once
  • 2:22 | they opt in even if they don’t buy
  • 2:24 | you’re going to be able to send them
  • 2:25 | emails over and over obviously until
  • 2:27 | they unsubscribe so instead of of losing
  • 2:30 | out on that traffic you now own it and
  • 2:32 | are able to keep it and this is a big
  • 2:34 | reason why a lot of people don’t usually
  • 2:37 | go for landing pages or at least just
  • 2:38 | lead generation pages is because this is
  • 2:40 | a long-term play instead of like so you
  • 2:43 | miss out on that sale what happens is
  • 2:45 | months down or maybe years down like
  • 2:47 | someone might purchase later so that
  • 2:50 | money that you spent or that time you
  • 2:51 | used to get that traffic in the lead are
  • 2:53 | going to pay off eventually so that’s a
  • 2:55 | huge reason for that so there’s a lot of
  • 2:57 | AD platforms even if they do allow you
  • 2:59 | to direct link it’s probably going to be
  • 3:02 | better that you actually don’t and send
  • 3:04 | them to an optin page that way and then
  • 3:05 | of course then you can send them to your
  • 3:07 | affiliate offer or whatever it’s going
  • 3:09 | to be now there is going to be another
  • 3:11 | scenario I will actually give you an
  • 3:13 | example This was oh this was a long time
  • 3:15 | ago this was before I went to San Diego
  • 3:18 | for a conference because I remember the
  • 3:19 | conference excuse me the ad campign was
  • 3:21 | actually running so I was sending
  • 3:24 | traffic through paid ads on Facebook
  • 3:25 | this was to a scholarship offer who was
  • 3:27 | doing very well I think you got like
  • 3:30 | $44.50 per lead at one point I want to
  • 3:33 | say it got to like you know 34 $500 this
  • 3:35 | was so long ago so the numbers might be
  • 3:37 | off but they were pretty good I was
  • 3:38 | probably getting like two to one on my
  • 3:40 | money and I remember running into the
  • 3:42 | predicament of do I send them to an
  • 3:45 | opton page first and then to like the it
  • 3:47 | was a CPA offer so it wasn’t a sales
  • 3:49 | page it was more of like where they
  • 3:51 | enter in more information so do I send
  • 3:53 | them to the optin page where they opt in
  • 3:55 | and then they go there or what do I do
  • 3:57 | is just completely like remove that
  • 4:00 | and do maybe a Lander you know a Lander
  • 4:03 | that doesn’t have the email collecting
  • 4:05 | you know whatever was going to be right
  • 4:06 | so it was a while back things have
  • 4:07 | changed and this is just another example
  • 4:09 | of this was in the education Niche and I
  • 4:12 | realized that I started building an
  • 4:13 | email list and I’m like there aren’t too
  • 4:15 | many offer that you can send here you
  • 4:17 | know aside from some CPA stuff and I
  • 4:20 | didn’t really want to get into it so at
  • 4:22 | one point I was actually collecting opts
  • 4:24 | then I stopped cuz I realized it wasn’t
  • 4:25 | a niche that I wanted to be in for a
  • 4:27 | long time it was more so just a campaign
  • 4:29 | where I was actually you know turning U
  • 4:32 | advertising dollars into Roi so that’s
  • 4:35 | another scenario that you have to keep
  • 4:36 | in mind is like do you want to collect
  • 4:38 | opin and if you don’t do you still want
  • 4:40 | to send them to a landing page or you
  • 4:41 | just want to go straight to the
  • 4:42 | affiliate offer I’m bringing this up
  • 4:44 | just to kind of give you some more
  • 4:45 | thought because I don’t know what Niche
  • 4:47 | you’re going to be going into I don’t
  • 4:48 | know how long you’re going to be there
  • 4:49 | but nevertheless in this scenario it’s
  • 4:51 | still going to be helpful if you do have
  • 4:53 | a landing page because what you can do
  • 4:55 | instead of this being an opt-in we can
  • 4:57 | just do like let’s say a generic page
  • 4:59 | like this right so these would be the
  • 5:01 | this would be the two options especially
  • 5:03 | with you know Facebook I don’t direct
  • 5:05 | link unless you’re doing some like black
  • 5:06 | hat stuff or something Shady whatever
  • 5:08 | it’s going to be uh so generic page just
  • 5:11 | where it talks about hey click on this
  • 5:12 | are you interested in this then they
  • 5:14 | would go to where the actual CPA offer
  • 5:16 | is nevertheless these are still going to
  • 5:18 | be landing pages and I do recommend
  • 5:19 | using them like I said many times where
  • 5:21 | you can test it out that’s what it’s
  • 5:23 | ultimately going to come down to if you
  • 5:25 | do have landing pages whether you want
  • 5:26 | to test with or without it it’s going to
  • 5:28 | be up to but usually when someone is
  • 5:31 | more warmed up to an offer when they
  • 5:32 | have more information about it just like
  • 5:35 | the reviews that I talked about with
  • 5:36 | YouTube I feel like it’s going to be
  • 5:38 | just an extra step that might not always
  • 5:40 | be needed especially if they are hot to
  • 5:42 | buy or they already want to purchase in
  • 5:43 | the first place so so do absolutely need
  • 5:46 | landing pages when it comes to affiliate
  • 5:48 | marketing I mean I guess you can get
  • 5:49 | away with not using them but you’re
  • 5:50 | going to be extremely limited on what
  • 5:52 | you can do ultimately I would recommend
  • 5:54 | them just because in the long run they
  • 5:56 | can make you more money they’re not all
  • 5:58 | that difficult to set up and of course
  • 6:00 | there’s going to be a lot more benefits
  • 6:01 | aside from generating leads there are
  • 6:03 | great ways to obviously pre-sell add
  • 6:05 | bonuses and do a lot of great things
  • 6:06 | with affiliate marketing overall but
  • 6:08 | nevertheless that’s just pretty much
  • 6:10 | answering that question giving you a lot
  • 6:12 | of different viewpoints which is what I
  • 6:13 | like to do when it comes to these
