  marketing for a total beginner.

  you through on the computer

  steps once you found out
• 0:15 | about affiliate marketing
  to actually get started.
• 0:18 | So by the end of this tutorial,
• 0:19 | you can start your business today.
• 0:22 | Now, a couple of really small things
• 0:23 | before we get started in this video.
• 0:25 | First is that this
  video is literally going
• 0:27 | to be on screen recording
• 0:28 | and on the camera so you can
  follow along on your computer.
• 0:31 | That should make this very unique.
• 0:32 | And then secondly, I have to mention this,
• 0:34 | and I want to do it in the beginning
• 0:35 | of this video just to
  get it out of the way.
• 0:37 | This is going to be a very long tutorial,
• 0:39 | but it’s going to move at a fast pace
• 0:41 | to try to get a lot of information in.
• 0:43 | And overall, this is going
  to be a condensed version
• 0:46 | of my full affiliate
  marketing masterclass.
• 0:49 | So if you’re not already enrolled in that,

• 0:52 | That is just the full fledged best thing

  start affiliate marketing,
• 0:56 | literally sharing everything
• 0:58 | I know about the business model.
• 0:59 | Now, I wanted to say that early on
• 1:00 | so that once you’re
  watching this free tutorial
• 1:02 | and you realize how much value I’m giving
• 1:04 | to you in this video,
• 1:05 | you’re going to really understand
• 1:07 | how much value that course is packed with.
• 1:09 | So with that said, let’s
  switch over to the computer
• 1:11 | and let’s get right into this tutorial.
• 1:12 | Now, the most important
  thing of all is to understand
• 1:15 | what exactly is affiliate marketing.
• 1:18 | And the reason that I
  say this is so important
• 1:20 | is because so many people
  are overcomplicating
• 1:22 | what this business model really is.
• 1:24 | So in the simplest terms possible,
• 1:26 | what affiliate marketing is
  is you partner with companies.
• 1:30 | Those companies give you
  a unique referral link
• 1:33 | to the products that they
  sell on their website.
• 1:35 | You then share your referral
  link with other people,
• 1:39 | and then when those other
  people click on your link
• 1:41 | and they make a purchase from the company,
• 1:43 | the company pays you a commission
  on whatever they bought.
• 1:46 | Now that is how simple this is.
• 1:48 | Affiliate marketing is
  basically just a complex way
• 1:50 | of saying referral programs.
• 1:52 | So what’s important to
  know here is that you
• 1:54 | can join as many affiliate
  programs as you want.
• 1:57 | It is totally free to join them.
• 1:59 | You don’t have to be
  exclusive to just one company.
• 2:02 | You can join programs for
  all different companies.
• 2:04 | And then something that’s
  really important to know
• 2:06 | is that you’re not really
  binded to them by anything.
• 2:08 | It’s not like you’re signing up
• 2:09 | to be an employee for that company.
• 2:11 | Think of it more of as an independent
• 2:13 | contractor or a freelancer.
• 2:15 | So basically, anyone who makes purchases
• 2:17 | through your unique referral link
• 2:19 | is going to make money for you.
• 2:21 | It’s not like you’re getting a salary
• 2:22 | or you’re not getting paid by the hour.
• 2:24 | The only way you get paid
• 2:26 | is through the commissions
  on your referral link.
• 2:28 | Now, the last thing that
  you might be wondering
• 2:29 | before we move on from explaining
• 2:31 | what affiliate marketing is,
  is the commission itself.
• 2:35 | So different companies out there
• 2:36 | have different types of commissions.
• 2:38 | Some of them are a flat rate,
• 2:40 | so you might get something like $50
• 2:41 | or $100 for anyone who purchases
• 2:43 | anything through the website.
• 2:45 | I’ll explain that a little bit later
• 2:46 | in this video so that makes sense.
• 2:48 | Or in most cases, it’s just a percentage.
• 2:50 | So now that hopefully
  we’re on the same page
• 2:52 | as to what affiliate marketing is.
• 2:54 | Now let’s get into the
  next section of this video,
• 2:56 | which is what kind of companies
  have affiliate programs,
• 2:59 | how do you join them and
  things of that nature.
• 3:02 | Now, the main takeaway
  here that I can share
• 3:03 | with you from years of
  experience with this
• 3:05 | is that almost all companies
  have an affiliate program
• 3:09 | or they might refer to
  it as a referral program.
• 3:11 | Now, obviously not all companies
  are going to have this,
• 3:14 | but to give you an idea here,
• 3:15 | Amazon Associates is the name
  of Amazon’s affiliate program.
• 3:19 | So literally any product
  that is sold on Amazon,
• 3:22 | you can be an affiliate for.
• 3:24 | Now, what I’ll show you
  here that you earn up
• 3:26 | to 10% commission on anything
  that’s sold on Amazon.
• 3:29 | What that means for you is just by joining
• 3:31 | one affiliate program here, Amazon’s,
• 3:33 | you can then get unique referral links
• 3:35 | to any product sold on their platform,
• 3:37 | which means that you can create
• 3:39 | your affiliate marketing content
• 3:40 | on pretty much any niche
  that you want to go into.
• 3:43 | Now, although Amazon’s affiliate program
• 3:44 | is really good to know about,
• 3:46 | I would say a lot of people
• 3:47 | who are advanced in affiliate marketing,
• 3:49 | they’re not using Amazon’s
  affiliate program.
• 3:51 | And you might be wondering
  why, because it’s so simple.
• 3:54 | You can join one program
• 3:55 | and get unique referral links
• 3:56 | to all the products sold there.
• 3:58 | The reason is because individual companies
• 4:00 | who sell their products typically
  offer higher commissions
• 4:03 | on the sale compared to Amazon.
• 4:05 | And then additionally, a lot of products
• 4:07 | that are really good
  for affiliate marketing
• 4:09 | and have high commissions
  are not sold on Amazon.
• 4:12 | Again, we’ll get into this
  more as this video goes on,
• 4:15 | but I wanna keep this step by step
• 4:16 | just so all of this makes sense.
• 4:18 | So while we are on this
  topic of finding out
• 4:20 | what companies have affiliate programs,
• 4:21 | what I would recommend to
  you to do is to go to Google
• 4:24 | and type in a niche.
• 4:26 | And what I mean by a niche is an overall
• 4:29 | category or an industry.
• 4:30 | And what I would recommend starting with,
• 4:32 | especially for this tutorial,
  to give you a good idea,
• 4:35 | is thinking about what are your passions,
• 4:37 | your hobbies, your interests?
• 4:38 | What do you already know a lot about?
• 4:41 | Now, if something doesn’t
  immediately come to mind to you,
• 4:43 | the other question I
  would ask yourself is,
• 4:45 | what do your friends
• 4:46 | or family come to you
  asking you for advice on.
• 4:49 | That might give you an idea of something
• 4:51 | that you don’t realize you
  actually do know a lot about.
• 4:54 | Now, whatever that is,
  type that into Google here.
• 4:57 | What I’m going to type in here
  is website building software.
• 5:00 | And simply because over the last 10 years
• 5:02 | of building online businesses,
• 5:03 | I have spent a lot of time
• 5:04 | with different website
  building software tools,
• 5:07 | and that is something that
  I simply know a lot about.
• 5:10 | So I’m going to type in
  website building software.
• 5:12 | Now we’re not going to type
• 5:14 | in affiliate program or anything.
• 5:15 | Just follow along with this for a second.
• 5:17 | So when you scroll through here,
• 5:18 | what you wanna do is identify which brands
• 5:20 | you know a lot about or
  you’ve used in the past.
• 5:23 | Now the first is an ad by Squarespace.
• 5:25 | I’ve definitely used
  Squarespace in the past.
• 5:27 | As I keep scrolling through here,
• 5:28 | I can see this is an article.
• 5:29 | If you get lucky enough and
  you get one of these kind
• 5:32 | of search results right here,
• 5:33 | this is just going to
  give you a bunch of brands
• 5:35 | that you should recognize
  right off the bat.
• 5:37 | So for me, I currently use Wix.
• 5:39 | I currently use WordPress.
• 5:41 | As I said, I have used
  Squarespace in the past.
• 5:43 | I don’t prefer their software,
• 5:44 | but I definitely know a lot about it.
• 5:45 | And then the rest that are here
• 5:47 | I don’t have much experience with,
• 5:48 | but I have already found three
• 5:49 | that I know a lot of information about.
• 5:51 | Now, if you don’t have this kind
• 5:52 | of section right here,
  keep scrolling down.
• 5:54 | And although you might see
  some brands popping up here,
• 5:56 | you can click on one of these lists
• 5:58 | and this is just going to give
  you kind of the big brands
• 6:01 | that you should hopefully recognize.
• 6:02 | So what you wanna do at this
  stage is pick out one, two,
• 6:05 | or three of these brands.
• 6:07 | If you have three,
• 6:08 | that’s going to give
  you a lot to work with.
• 6:10 | If you can only pick out
  two, that’s totally fine.
• 6:12 | And if there’s one, you might have
• 6:13 | to repeat this step in a minute here,
• 6:15 | but let me show you what that is.
• 6:16 | So once you’ve got these brands in mind,
• 6:18 | then let’s go back to Google.
• 6:20 | And what we are then going
  to do is type in the name
• 6:22 | of the first brand and
  then affiliate program.
• 6:24 | So Wix affiliate program.
• 6:27 | And what you are looking
• 6:28 | for at this stage is figuring out
• 6:30 | if that company has an affiliate program.
• 6:32 | Now you’re going to find
  two types of results here.
• 6:35 | The first is going to be from
  the actual website themselves.
• 6:38 | So this is Wix,
• 6:39 | and this is talking about
  their affiliate program.
• 6:41 | This is what we are looking for.
• 6:42 | What we are not looking
• 6:44 | for is other companies talking
  about the affiliate program,
• 6:47 | but it is not actually from Wix.
• 6:49 | So I’m going to click on this.
• 6:51 | This brings us to Wix’s website,
• 6:53 | which is exactly where we wanna be,
• 6:54 | and then it talks about
  their affiliate program.
• 6:57 | However, what I would be doing
  from experience is scrolling
• 7:00 | through their website and
  seeing if I can find out
• 7:01 | how much they pay in commission.
• 7:04 | Now, not all websites are
  going to tell you this,
• 7:06 | and you won’t know this
  until you really go
• 7:07 | through their application,
• 7:08 | which I’ll show you in a second here.
• 7:10 | But sometimes you can just
  scroll through their homepage
• 7:12 | and you can find out how much they pay.
• 7:14 | Now they don’t actually
  say it on their website,
• 7:16 | so we’ll have to wait for the application,
• 7:17 | which would be right at
  this button right here.
• 7:19 | But first, I just wanna
  take you back to Google
• 7:22 | and I wanna show you what I would do next.
• 7:23 | So I’ve already found one hit.
• 7:25 | I already found a company
  that I know a lot about
• 7:27 | and they have an affiliate program.
• 7:29 | I haven’t figured out how much they pay
• 7:30 | in commission yet, but that’s okay.
• 7:32 | Before moving on to the
  next step, I want to go here
• 7:34 | and type in the next company
  that I was considering,
• 7:37 | which is WordPress.
• 7:38 | Now as I’ve searched this,
  I’ve just kind of connected
• 7:40 | two and two in my head
  that WordPress itself
• 7:42 | is actually free to use.
• 7:43 | Now without getting too
  complicated in this video,
• 7:45 | I’m just going to skip over that for now.
• 7:47 | You can’t be an affiliate
  for a tool that is free,
• 7:50 | basically because they
  won’t be making any money
• 7:52 | to pay you your commission.
• 7:53 | So this kind of works out that
  I was able to show you that,
• 7:56 | but let’s keep moving on here.
• 7:57 | Let’s go to the next one, Squarespace,
• 8:00 | and we’ll search that.
• 8:01 | And again, the perfect hit right here
• 8:03 | from Squarespace’s website.
• 8:04 | We can click on that,
• 8:05 | and it’s very similar to Wix’s setup here.
• 8:07 | Let’s scroll down here
  and see if we can find out
• 8:09 | how much they pay in commissions.
• 8:11 | And they’re not going to
  share it on their page either,
• 8:13 | so we’ll have to start their
  application to find out.
• 8:15 | Now, this is where I’m going to jump in
• 8:17 | and give you some of
  my personal experience
• 8:18 | to hopefully help you even more.
• 8:20 | Now, I have used Squarespace
  in the past to build websites.
• 8:23 | It didn’t really fit what I
  was personally looking for,
• 8:25 | so it’s not something that
  I regularly talk about
• 8:27 | or I use regularly.
• 8:28 | What I do use regularly is Wix,
• 8:31 | and then also, even
  though WordPress is free,
• 8:33 | I’ve paid for years for a
  website host called Bluehost
• 8:37 | to actually use that WordPress.
• 8:38 | So instead of actually
  searching for WordPress,
• 8:40 | I’m just searching for Bluehost,
• 8:42 | which is basically the
  service you have to pay for
• 8:44 | in order to use WordPress.
• 8:46 | So if you click on there, they
  have an affiliate program,
• 8:49 | and this is perfect.
• 8:50 | We have another company
  that I know a lot about
• 8:52 | and I can create content on,
• 8:54 | and this is going tell us
• 8:55 | that they pay at least 70%
  commission on each sale.
• 8:58 | So right off the bat,
• 8:59 | we now have Wix as an affiliate program
• 9:01 | and we have Bluehost as
  an affiliate program.
• 9:04 | So that gives us two
  programs that we can join
• 9:07 | and create content about.
• 9:08 | You can join just one
  company’s affiliate program.
• 9:12 | However, if you have experience
  with another similar product
• 9:15 | and they also have an affiliate program,
• 9:17 | I highly recommend joining
  their affiliate program as well.
• 9:21 | One, because it’s totally
  free to do, but two,
• 9:23 | and more importantly,
• 9:24 | is this is going to
  open up the opportunity
• 9:26 | to make really good affiliate content
• 9:28 | comparing the two products.
• 9:30 | Since they are so similar,
• 9:32 | there are bound to be people online
• 9:34 | searching for what are the
  differences between the two,
• 9:37 | which one’s better than the other,
• 9:39 | and really which ones
  should they be buying
• 9:40 | when they’re compared side by side.
• 9:42 | Now, the personal experience
  part that I wanted
• 9:44 | to tell you about is
  that I have joined both
• 9:47 | the Bluehost affiliate program
• 9:48 | and the Wix affiliate
  program several years ago,
• 9:51 | and I actually created
  affiliate marketing content
• 9:54 | for their services.
• 9:55 | So this is pretty cool.
• 9:57 | I’ll be able to show you the dashboard.
• 9:59 | I’ll be able to show you real videos
• 10:00 | that were created from these
  two specific affiliate programs
• 10:03 | and that will tie all of this together.
• 10:06 | So hopefully, we are still
  on the same page here
• 10:08 | and you were able to go to Google
• 10:09 | and search for companies
  that you know a lot about,
• 10:12 | figure out which ones of
  them have affiliate programs,
• 10:14 | and then hopefully we’re able to find two
• 10:16 | that are similar products
  that you have experience with
• 10:19 | and both of them have affiliate programs.
• 10:21 | So now before we talk about
  what kind of content to create
• 10:24 | for affiliate marketing, first,
• 10:26 | let’s talk about how
  to join these programs.
• 10:28 | So once you have made sure
• 10:29 | that you are actually on the
  company’s official website
• 10:32 | and you are on their
  affiliate program page,
• 10:34 | now you just click Join Now
• 10:36 | or Get Started Now,
  whatever button is there.
• 10:38 | Now, once you’ve clicked on that,
• 10:39 | it’s going to bring you
  to their application.
• 10:41 | Now the application is
  very straightforward.
• 10:43 | They just basically need
  to know who you are,
• 10:45 | what your name is, what
  your contact information is.
• 10:48 | You can create a username
• 10:49 | and password to log into your dashboard
• 10:51 | where you’re going to
  have your referral link.
• 10:53 | You can track how much
  you’ve made in commissions,
• 10:55 | and then it’s going to ask
  for your company information,
• 10:57 | which is very important to
  know that you do not need
• 10:59 | to have a company set up to
  start affiliate marketing.
• 11:02 | You don’t need to have an LLC,
• 11:04 | you don’t need to have a business entity
• 11:06 | or a selling permit.
• 11:07 | You can do all of this just
  as an individual person.
• 11:10 | You don’t need to legally set anything up.
• 11:12 | So where it says Company Information,
• 11:14 | you can put your first and last name.
• 11:17 | So you do not need to have a company name.
• 11:19 | And then your company website,
• 11:21 | this is basically they’re
  asking where are you going
• 11:23 | to be promoting our products?
• 11:25 | This is something that we will come back
• 11:26 | to in a second here,
• 11:27 | but I’ll show you how to do this for free,
• 11:29 | so you do not need to
  have an existing website,
• 11:31 | you don’t need to pay for a website,
• 11:33 | and you don’t need to have
  a following of any kind.
• 11:36 | I’ll talk about that in a second here.
• 11:37 | But as you keep scrolling through here,
• 11:38 | just fill out this general information.
• 11:41 | All of this is basically
  for them to just be able
• 11:43 | to keep track of who you are
• 11:44 | and where to pay you your commissions.
• 11:47 | Now, once you filled all of that out,
• 11:48 | you literally just hit Sign Up.
• 11:50 | Now on some of these programs,
• 11:51 | they instantly approve
  you, on other programs,
• 11:53 | they say, okay, we got your application,
• 11:56 | we’ll get back to you in 24 to 48 hours,
• 11:58 | and then you can log in
  and get your referral link.
• 12:00 | Okay, so to keep this step by step,
• 12:03 | I’m going to leave this application open
• 12:04 | because what you are
  going to need to fill out
• 12:07 | in order to actually sign up
  here is the company website.
• 12:10 | So briefly, we’re going
  to jump ahead one step
• 12:12 | and then we’ll come back here
• 12:13 | and we will continue step by step.
• 12:15 | Now, traditionally, up
  until I found out about
• 12:16 | this a couple years ago,
• 12:18 | you would have to go pay for a website.
• 12:20 | You’d have to physically create a website,
• 12:22 | whether that’s on Wix or using Bluehost
• 12:24 | like we were just talking about,
• 12:25 | and then customize that entire website
• 12:26 | so it is branded as your website,
• 12:29 | and then you could come
  back to the application
• 12:30 | and you could put in that website name
• 12:33 | and then you could submit the application.
• 12:34 | Now, this required you to
  pay for website hosting
• 12:37 | and to do all the work to
  put the website together.
• 12:40 | What I found out a couple years ago
• 12:41 | and have been doing since
• 12:43 | is that you can create a
  YouTube channel 100% for free.
• 12:47 | It takes substantially less time
• 12:49 | compared to putting a
  whole website together,
• 12:51 | and then you can come
  back to the application
• 12:53 | and you can put your
  YouTube channel link here
• 12:55 | instead of an actual website.
• 12:57 | Now for the sake of time
• 12:58 | and keeping this tutorial going along,
• 13:00 | I’m not going to go through these steps
• 13:01 | of creating your YouTube
  channel and how to customize it.
• 13:04 | That is going to be covered
  in the full masterclass.
• 13:07 | So remember, that link
  is in the description
• 13:09 | for all of these details,
  really step by step.
• 13:11 | However, once you’ve put the
  YouTube channel together,
• 13:13 | it could be a totally new YouTube channel,
• 13:15 | then you can put it in
  the company website,
• 13:17 | and then you can actually
  sign up for the program.
• 13:19 | This is going to be the same for Wix.
• 13:21 | You’re basically just going
  to repeat this process
• 13:23 | and go to Wix’s affiliate
  program application
• 13:26 | and join theirs as well.
• 13:28 | So this is where it’s
  going to start getting fun.
• 13:30 | I’m going to log into
  my Bluehost dashboard,
• 13:31 | show you how you actually
  get your referral link,
• 13:34 | and then what my favorite
  part in this whole video
• 13:36 | is going to be is showing you
  what kind of content to create
• 13:39 | and then showing you
  some of my real examples.
• 13:41 | Okay, so this is my Bluehost
  affiliate dashboard.
• 13:44 | You’re going to see something similar
• 13:46 | to this looking dashboard
• 13:47 | for whatever affiliate
  programs that you are joining.
• 13:50 | All the companies use some of the same
• 13:51 | and some of the different
  affiliate tracking software.
• 13:54 | So your dashboard might look
• 13:55 | similar or might look different.
• 13:57 | However, once you are in your dashboard,
• 13:59 | it’s going to track your earnings,
• 14:01 | but what you’re looking for at this stage
• 14:02 | is going to be actually
  creating your referral link
• 14:05 | to that company.
• 14:06 | So on this dashboard specifically,
• 14:08 | you have CREATE AND SHARE LINK.
• 14:10 | You’re going to be looking
  for something similar to this.
• 14:13 | You can literally just hit Create,
• 14:14 | and then this is going
  to be your referral link.
• 14:17 | So if you copy this link
  here and you go to that link,
• 14:20 | it is automatically going to redirect
• 14:22 | just to Bluehost website.
• 14:24 | And then anyone who clicked on that link
• 14:25 | has the same experience
  as if they were just
• 14:27 | to go to Google and then go to Bluehost
• 14:29 | or go to Bluehost website directly.
• 14:31 | The pricing is going to be the same,
• 14:33 | everything’s going to look the same,
• 14:34 | and they can basically
  just get started now.
• 14:36 | They can go through and purchase
• 14:37 | what they were going to purchase.
• 14:39 | However, since they
  used that link of yours,
• 14:41 | this is going to track
  it on this dashboard
• 14:43 | and make sure that you
  get paid a commission
• 14:45 | on anything that they buy.
• 14:47 | Now, something that is important to know,
• 14:48 | it’s a little bit more advanced,
• 14:50 | but I want you to know
  it from the start here,
• 14:51 | is that you can go to
  specific landing pages.
• 14:54 | Now, not all affiliate
  dashboards are going to allow you
• 14:57 | to do this, however, most of them should.
• 15:00 | So when this would come into
  use is that if the product
• 15:02 | that you’re talking about
  in your affiliate content
• 15:04 | has multiple different
  variations of their product,
• 15:07 | so they have one for $1.99 a month,
• 15:09 | they have one for $8.99.
• 15:11 | And if you wanted to create
  affiliate content specifically
• 15:14 | about one of these,
• 15:16 | so it wasn’t just sending someone
• 15:17 | to the general Bluehost
  now you can sign up,
• 15:20 | but you wanted to send them specifically
• 15:21 | to the product that was
  $8.99, for instance,
• 15:25 | you could select this product
• 15:27 | and then you could copy
  the link at the top,
• 15:29 | the website URL,
• 15:31 | and you can go to a landing page.
• 15:33 | Here’s where you can paste that,
• 15:34 | and then once you click Create here,
• 15:36 | it’s going to give you a
  different link down here.
• 15:39 | And this link, when someone clicks on it,
• 15:41 | is going to redirect them specifically
• 15:43 | to the page over here that
  you copied the address of.
• 15:46 | This is what’s called the landing page.
• 15:48 | So when someone clicks on your link,
• 15:50 | where are they going to land?
• 15:51 | Is it going to be the specific
  page that you selected here
• 15:54 | or is it just going to
  be generally Bluehost?
• 15:56 | Now, where this really comes into play
• 15:58 | is on physical products
  that are purchased online.
• 16:00 | So for Amazon, for instance,
• 16:01 | you could get a link to a
  specific product on Amazon,
• 16:05 | and then you could put that
  in your affiliate content
• 16:07 | rather than sending someone
  just to the homepage of Amazon.
• 16:10 | So hopefully, we’re all
  still on the same page now.
• 16:12 | You should know how to actually
  find your affiliate links
• 16:15 | or your referral link,
• 16:16 | and then how you can
  link to specific products
• 16:18 | from companies if you’d
  like to do that as well.
• 16:20 | Now, let’s get into my
  favorite part of this video,
• 16:22 | and that is what kind of content
• 16:24 | do you create for affiliate marketing?
• 16:26 | And then I’ll show you some
  of my own examples as well,
• 16:29 | just so all of this comes together nicely.
• 16:31 | When it comes to creating
  content for affiliate marketing,
• 16:34 | and this is probably going
  to be the most important
• 16:36 | and valuable part of this entire video,
• 16:38 | the type of content that you want
• 16:40 | to create is educational content.

  I need to make a website.

• 17:09 | That’s great content for you
• 17:10 | to make for affiliate marketing.
• 17:11 | Another example, are they asking you
• 17:13 | what is the best software
  that I should be using
• 17:16 | to create a website?
• 17:17 | That, again, is great content
  for affiliate marketing?
• 17:20 | So let me tie that
  together so it makes sense.
• 17:22 | To help someone who is in the situation
• 17:24 | of they don’t know which
  website software to use,
• 17:27 | and they are a beginner, but
  they need to make a website,
• 17:29 | then I should be sharing
  my knowledge on the topic
• 17:31 | by creating content,
• 17:33 | something around the idea
• 17:34 | of what is the best
  website building software
• 17:37 | for a beginner.
• 17:38 | This allows me to share my knowledge
• 17:40 | and help that person as if I was talking
• 17:42 | to them on the other side of the camera.
• 17:44 | And then I can have my
  recommendations for them.
• 17:46 | I recommend using Wix
• 17:48 | because it is the easiest for beginners.
• 17:49 | It’s basically drag and drop,
• 17:51 | compared to using something like Bluehost
• 17:53 | where you really need to
  know what you’re doing
• 17:55 | because it’s a little
  bit more complicated.
• 17:56 | This is the type of content
  that you want to be creating.
• 17:59 | And just to show you some proof on this,
• 18:01 | let me show you some of my own examples.
• 18:03 | This is a perfect example of this
• 18:05 | that a total beginner could do.
• 18:07 | So Wix versus WordPress,
  a simple review video
• 18:10 | sharing my experience
  with both of these tools.
• 18:12 | Again, just sharing my knowledge to anyone
• 18:14 | who is considering these two tools
• 18:16 | and doesn’t know which
  one is better for them.
• 18:19 | Now, the reason that I
  wanna show you this video
• 18:21 | specifically is that this
  video was shot on my smartphone
• 18:24 | in my car, no microphone, no anything.
• 18:27 | Just sharing my experience
  with these two different tools,
• 18:29 | and this is something
  that any total beginner
• 18:32 | could absolutely do today.
• 18:34 | Now, two very, very important things
• 18:36 | that I wanna discuss right
  now is that, at first glance,
• 18:39 | you might be looking at this
  and seeing only 3,100 views
• 18:42 | and thinking that this was
  not a successful video.
• 18:45 | So first, let me show you what a crowd
• 18:47 | of 3,000 people looks like.
• 18:49 | That is all of these people
  plus the upper decks.
• 18:53 | And the very, very
  important thing to know here
• 18:55 | is that all of these people who came
• 18:57 | and watched this video specifically
• 18:59 | were all specifically
  interested in Wix or WordPress.
• 19:04 | So it’s not like I was
  just talking to a crowd
• 19:07 | of random people here.
• 19:08 | Every single person that came in
• 19:10 | and watched that video
  was absolutely interested
• 19:12 | in those two tools and just
  figuring out which one to use.
• 19:15 | And then, obviously,
• 19:16 | once they figured out which
  tool was better for them,
• 19:18 | they could go down and they could click
• 19:20 | on the affiliate link to
  either Bluehost or to Wix.
• 19:23 | So although this looks
  like a very unsuccessful
• 19:25 | affiliate marketing video,
  this is, at its simplest form,
• 19:29 | how easy this business model can be.
• 19:31 | Now, to the second thing
• 19:32 | that I had just mentioned
  is very important.
• 19:35 | That is why is this a video
• 19:37 | and not a text-based article on a website?
• 19:41 | So if we go back a couple steps,
• 19:42 | remember I had said to create
  a free YouTube channel to use
• 19:45 | as your company website
  instead of paying for
• 19:47 | and creating an entire website.
• 19:49 | Well, that actually is going
• 19:50 | to help you a ton in affiliate marketing.
• 19:52 | I’ve been doing affiliate
  marketing for years now,
• 19:54 | and I still currently own
  several affiliate marketing,
• 19:57 | niche-specific websites
  with text articles on them
• 20:00 | and several YouTube channels
• 20:02 | that are about niche specific topics,
• 20:04 | creating affiliate marketing content,
• 20:06 | and the YouTube channels are doing
• 20:08 | so much better than the websites.
• 20:10 | Now, I wanna keep this video moving,
• 20:12 | and I don’t wanna get too
  much into the weeds here,
• 20:14 | but the websites have
  stopped performing well
• 20:16 | because of ChatGPT and
  artificial intelligence.
• 20:20 | So that strategy for affiliate marketing
• 20:22 | where you’re creating the website
• 20:23 | and writing text-based
  articles is just declining
• 20:26 | as it gets so much more competitive.
• 20:27 | However, over on YouTube,
• 20:29 | artificial intelligence cannot
  compete with this strategy
• 20:32 | because YouTube and Google,
• 20:34 | they’re looking for content
  that is created by real people.
• 20:37 | They wanna see a real person on camera,
• 20:39 | even if you’re just
  doing a screen recording
• 20:41 | and you’re not showing your face,
• 20:43 | you’d rather do the more private
  faceless approach to this,
• 20:45 | just having a real person talking,
• 20:47 | sharing their real experience.
• 20:49 | That is what both YouTube and
  Google is craving right now.
• 20:52 | They’re trying to get rid of
  the artificial intelligence
• 20:54 | kind of fluff content.
• 20:55 | So with all of that being said,
• 20:57 | if you create a brand new YouTube channel
• 20:59 | and you just use your smartphone
• 21:00 | to create videos about things
• 21:03 | that you genuinely know information about,
• 21:05 | and you’re trying to help
  people with educational content,
• 21:08 | you will do extremely well
  in affiliate marketing.
