  • 0:00 | what affiliate marketing Niche do you
  • 0:02 | choose to make the most money I mean we
  • 0:04 | can write about all kinds of stuff
  • 0:05 | there’s AI software new stuff there’s
  • 0:07 | outdoor gadgets and gear smart home
  • 0:09 | devices computers technology there’s
  • 0:11 | Ayahuasca retreats in the Peruvian
  • 0:13 | Amazon there’s Chopstick lightsabers
  • 0:15 | there’s leashes for chickens I mean
  • 0:17 | there’s 85-inch TVs that cost twenty
  • 0:19 | three thousand dollars so if people can
  • 0:21 | buy it online you can be an affiliate
  • 0:23 | and make a cut of every sale so in this
  • 0:25 | video I’m covering how to find the
  • 0:26 | perfect affiliate marketing Niche to
  • 0:28 | make the most money and if you stick to
  • 0:30 | the end I’ll give you your exact keyword
  • 0:31 | and content plan how to find these
  • 0:33 | keywords that make you a ton of money
  • 0:34 | and how to find and join the best
  • 0:36 | affiliate programs so put those money
  • 0:38 | goggles on and let’s get right into it
  • 0:41 | all right so we’re going to cover how to
  • 0:42 | choose the perfect affiliate marketing
  • 0:44 | niche in 2023 now we have to remember
  • 0:46 | getting started is actually a lot more
  • 0:48 | important than choosing this perfect
  • 0:49 | Niche the right perfect Niche at the
  • 0:51 | beginning we have to just start getting
  • 0:52 | ourselves out there creating content
  • 0:54 | joining affiliate programs and doing
  • 0:55 | those things and you want to think a
  • 0:57 | little bit broadly focus on your own
  • 0:58 | personal expertise and intro interests
  • 1:00 | not necessarily your passions or your
  • 1:02 | hobbies or a perfect Niche we’re
  • 1:04 | covering this exactly for you today so
  • 1:05 | here’s what you know how to think about
  • 1:07 | choosing the perfect Niche so most Niche
  • 1:09 | advice is kind of backwards so you can
  • 1:10 | choose a tiny Niche site or you can
  • 1:13 | build it as a personal brand you can do
  • 1:14 | it either way so let me show you some
  • 1:16 | examples here here’s something like swim
  • 1:17 | University which is a niche site about
  • 1:19 | swimming pool care and hot tubs so they
  • 1:21 | have a site swim University they also
  • 1:23 | sell stuff so it’s e-commerce there’s
  • 1:25 | email tool tester so this is a site that
  • 1:28 | recommends email and CRM software so
  • 1:30 | another Niche site then there’s
  • 1:31 | something like the wandering RV which is
  • 1:33 | an RV site so they have rentals RV
  • 1:35 | Insurance loans guides so it’s in the RV
  • 1:37 | van life camping type Niche but then we
  • 1:40 | can do also do it as a personal brand so
  • 1:42 | someone like Bob Villa who’s the
  • 1:44 | do-it-yourself guy he had TV shows back
  • 1:46 | in the day but he writes about all kinds
  • 1:48 | of indoor and outdoor you know products
  • 1:50 | Treehouse Plumbing software home
  • 1:52 | builders all kinds of different stuff or
  • 1:54 | there’s Tom’s guide one of the biggest
  • 1:56 | electronic you know technology blogs out
  • 1:59 | there that cover everything with reviews
  • 2:01 | how to’s laptops phones tablets all
  • 2:05 | kinds of gadgets kitchen gadgets
  • 2:06 | hundreds thousands of articles on this
  • 2:08 | site or there’s something like my site
  • 2:10 | so I cover it’s just my name and I write
  • 2:12 | about software business software things
  • 2:14 | to use if you’re an online business
  • 2:15 | owner and then I also talk about how to
  • 2:17 | do things how to make money how to start
  • 2:18 | a blog all of those so when we think
  • 2:21 | Niche site versus personal brand that’s
  • 2:24 | a big decision at the beginning and what
  • 2:26 | I recommend is sometimes it’s really
  • 2:27 | hard to choose the perfect Niche at the
  • 2:29 | very beginning because think about it we
  • 2:30 | all start out as beginners so you’re
  • 2:32 | tasked with the impossible task of
  • 2:34 | choosing the perfect Niche when you
  • 2:36 | don’t have all of the experience yet so
  • 2:38 | we’ll cover how to do that in a second
  • 2:40 | ultimately you want to Target high
  • 2:42 | income low competition keywords so
  • 2:44 | things that you can rank for and make
  • 2:45 | money with affiliate marketing which in
  • 2:47 | your Niche but that aren’t going to be
  • 2:49 | too competitive that aren’t 15 to 20
  • 2:50 | years old that are impossible to rank
  • 2:52 | for us we’ll show you how to find those
  • 2:53 | and you don’t know what’s going to stick
  • 2:55 | it first you have to work quickly and
  • 2:56 | pivot so this is key so we don’t have to
  • 2:58 | find the perfect Niche at the beginning
  • 3:00 | but I’ll show you that over time we can
  • 3:02 | hone in on what the perfect Niche is
  • 3:04 | testing and Based on data so we teach
  • 3:06 | that too when blogging like a startup
  • 3:07 | and blog growth engine if you’re
  • 3:09 | interested in learning all the
  • 3:10 | strategies you can watch my free 80
  • 3:11 | minute Master Class YouTube link below
  • 3:13 | 80 minutes of free training if you’re
  • 3:14 | interested in the exact process of
  • 3:16 | starting an affiliate marketing business
  • 3:17 | but we don’t know what’s going to work
  • 3:19 | you know maybe two out of 10 articles at
  • 3:21 | the beginning you might start ranking
  • 3:22 | for stuff so we don’t want to put all of
  • 3:25 | our eggs in one tiny basket we don’t
  • 3:27 | want to pigeonhole ourselves with a
  • 3:28 | domain name that’s too small you need to
  • 3:30 | come up with something in a niche that
  • 3:32 | you’re like okay over time I can write
  • 3:33 | at least 100 articles on this website
  • 3:35 | not like 10 and then I’m done so we’ll
  • 3:37 | show you how to do that and you really
  • 3:38 | want to let Google search drive your
  • 3:40 | decisions so this isn’t forcing a niche
  • 3:42 | to work you can’t just write about
  • 3:43 | health related content that you’re going
  • 3:45 | up against WebMD and Healthline and just
  • 3:47 | keep staying at it getting no traffic no
  • 3:49 | traffic Google’s not seeing you as an
  • 3:51 | expert and then you just keep going you
  • 3:53 | have to let data inform your decision so
  • 3:55 | that’s things like Google search console
  • 3:57 | Google analytics making sure that you’re
  • 3:59 | checking which pages are starting to get
  • 4:00 | impressions and getting traffic and then
  • 4:02 | you kind of double down and you start
  • 4:03 | building your knowledge graph within
  • 4:04 | multiple sub niches so for example if
  • 4:06 | you wanted to talk about Pools and Hot
  • 4:08 | Tubs and saunas you could do all of them
  • 4:10 | or if you wanted to be an outdoor expert
  • 4:12 | you wouldn’t just create like the
  • 4:15 | hikingtrailguy.com necessarily that’s a
  • 4:17 | small Niche site that’s easy to quit but
  • 4:19 | you could put it at your name and then
  • 4:20 | you could test some in high taking
  • 4:22 | summon camping some in backpacking do it
  • 4:24 | based on keyword research see what’s
  • 4:25 | working and hone in and start dominating
  • 4:27 | multiple sub niches at a time so we’ll
  • 4:29 | cover all of this how to choose the
  • 4:31 | perfect Niche how to find one for you
  • 4:33 | and really it’s just double down on
  • 4:34 | what’s working and expanding from there
  • 4:36 | is key if you’re a Creator and want the
  • 4:38 | easiest way to monetize your videos with
  • 4:40 | your own Netflix style membership site
  • 4:41 | plus branded mobile and TV apps you must
  • 4:44 | know about you screen so it doesn’t
  • 4:45 | matter if you have a Channel about
  • 4:46 | Pokemon cards or classic cards you could
  • 4:49 | be a beauty vlogger or Tech geek
  • 4:51 | whatever you’re making content about you
  • 4:52 | screen can help you monetize your work
  • 4:54 | easily with their u-screen platform you
  • 4:56 | can sell memberships rent and host paid
  • 4:58 | live streams to your most premium loyal
  • 5:00 | subscribers and with their tools you can
  • 5:02 | build your own website or even a white
  • 5:03 | labeled mobile and TV app including
  • 5:05 | Android iOS Apple TV Roku and Fire TV
  • 5:08 | and thousands of creators have already
  • 5:10 | gotten started and are earning recurring
  • 5:11 | money from their videos so try you
  • 5:13 | screen for yourself sign up for a free
  • 5:15 | trial the link is in the description
  • 5:17 | below now good affiliate marketing
  • 5:18 | content it’s all about intent or search
  • 5:20 | intent so people search the internet
  • 5:22 | with the intention to solve a problem so
  • 5:24 | it’s either how to do something how to
  • 5:25 | start a blog how to start a business how
  • 5:27 | to tie my shoes how to bake a cake you
  • 5:29 | know how to do stuff information is half
  • 5:31 | of it the other half is products so best
  • 5:34 | products that they’re interested in
  • 5:36 | they’re looking for comparison posts
  • 5:37 | best laptops under a thousand dollars
  • 5:39 | best gaming chairs under five hundred
  • 5:42 | dollars best outdoor hiking gear things
  • 5:44 | like that so there’s they’re on to solve
  • 5:46 | a problem though they’re either looking
  • 5:47 | for information or for comparative
  • 5:49 | content to
  • 5:50 | buy something and that’s actually where
  • 5:52 | affiliate marketing lives so there’s
  • 5:53 | informational basically how to do stuff
  • 5:56 | people looking to learn something how to
  • 5:59 | what is things like that and then
  • 6:00 | there’s transactional this is when
  • 6:01 | they’re making these buying decisions
  • 6:03 | and this is things like best review or
  • 6:05 | product versus product so like
  • 6:07 | NordicTrack versus Peloton or Sony some
  • 6:10 | type of Sony camera versus Panasonic or
  • 6:12 | best you know photography cameras
  • 6:15 | anything like that when they’re looking
  • 6:16 | for products that’s transactional in
  • 6:18 | nature so yes there’s other types of
  • 6:19 | intent there’s navigational intent and
  • 6:21 | other things but these are the two that
  • 6:23 | you only need to focus on when it comes
  • 6:24 | to your affiliate marketing Niche is
  • 6:26 | informational and transactional so let’s
  • 6:28 | look at a little graph here that I
  • 6:29 | created we have search volume on the
  • 6:30 | left competition on the bottom there’s
  • 6:32 | four quadrants and four ways to think of
  • 6:34 | different keywords that we’re going to
  • 6:35 | Target for affiliate marketing because
  • 6:37 | choosing the perfect affiliate marketing
  • 6:38 | Niche ultimately comes down to what
  • 6:40 | keywords you choose that you can rank
  • 6:42 | for and kind of testing the viability of
  • 6:44 | a niche based on how competitive it is
  • 6:46 | overall and there’s different ones so
  • 6:48 | first you know when we’re looking at the
  • 6:50 | columns search volume human competition
  • 6:51 | so this is low volume lower competition
  • 6:53 | and this is more like informational
  • 6:55 | posts that aren’t going to make you a
  • 6:56 | ton of money but I consider these early
  • 6:58 | wins they might be longer tail info
  • 7:00 | posts not really optimized for affiliate
  • 7:02 | Revenue yet but you can actually start
  • 7:03 | ranking for these so these are the least
  • 7:05 | competitive so something in the biking
  • 7:07 | or cycling Niche would be like
  • 7:08 | stationary bike workout for beginners
  • 7:10 | long tail not really related to a
  • 7:12 | directly to a product but pretty low
  • 7:14 | competition easy to rank for then we
  • 7:16 | have high volume lower competition so
  • 7:18 | these are more like info posts with a
  • 7:20 | lot of volume because people aren’t
  • 7:21 | making a ton of affiliate Revenue yet
  • 7:23 | with these These are what I call brand
  • 7:24 | builders so these are things that can
  • 7:25 | get you a lot of traffic you can make ad
  • 7:27 | Revenue with them not directly so much
  • 7:29 | affiliate Revenue but these can get you
  • 7:31 | a lot of traffic you know build your
  • 7:32 | email list and all that stuff so
  • 7:34 | something like indoor cycling a lot of
  • 7:36 | search volume not a huge amount of
  • 7:38 | competition then we have highly searched
  • 7:40 | highly competitive transactional posts
  • 7:43 | these are what I call antiques because
  • 7:44 | these things have been around for a long
  • 7:46 | time every Niche has them they’re really
  • 7:47 | hard to rank for it keyword wise it’s
  • 7:49 | almost best to avoid most of these so
  • 7:51 | like best stationary bikes this thing’s
  • 7:53 | been you know people have been riding
  • 7:54 | those for 20 plus years writing reviews
  • 7:56 | of them on Google so every Niche has
  • 7:57 | these best vpns best web hosting best
  • 8:00 | refrigerators best mattresses things
  • 8:02 | that are dominated by media sites that
  • 8:04 | are going to be really difficult to rank
  • 8:05 | for so we kind of avoid those but then
  • 8:07 | we also have lower competition
  • 8:08 | transactional posts so this you know
  • 8:10 | it’s a little bit lower competition so
  • 8:12 | it’ll be more towards the middle of this
  • 8:13 | chart but this is like emerging products
  • 8:15 | these are things that aren’t that
  • 8:17 | competitive yet aren’t super competitive
  • 8:19 | but are made for affiliate Revenue so
  • 8:21 | something like NordicTrack versus
  • 8:22 | Peloton or something new Peloton
  • 8:24 | Alternatives or things that are a little
  • 8:25 | bit new like some type of AI software or
  • 8:28 | you know all kinds of different things
  • 8:29 | in different niches what products are
  • 8:31 | new out there that you can write
  • 8:33 | comparative posts on so ultimately these
  • 8:36 | are the two that you write you write
  • 8:37 | high volume informational posts to make
  • 8:39 | ad Revenue they’re not going to make you
  • 8:40 | affiliate Revenue but then you rank for
  • 8:42 | new and emerging products in a niche I
  • 8:45 | say Niche people call me out on it it’s
  • 8:48 | either Niche or Niche you can say either
  • 8:50 | one anyways affiliate revenue is this
  • 8:52 | lower competition transactional one so
  • 8:54 | these two work together let me show you
  • 8:56 | some examples of this so first before we
  • 8:59 | do that you have to know the broader
  • 9:00 | Niche you want to Target so when we talk
  • 9:02 | about a broader Niche you start you
  • 9:04 | don’t have to start at like this
  • 9:05 | specific thing like indoor cycling
  • 9:06 | that’s a little bit narrow right or like
  • 9:09 | the pool example like what if we just
  • 9:10 | started with just
  • 9:12 | um indoor pools or just hot tubs it’s a
  • 9:15 | little bit too narrow it’s easy to quit
  • 9:17 | you can maybe you can write 20 articles
  • 9:18 | on it but it’s not how you build a real
  • 9:20 | affiliate marketing business so to know
  • 9:22 | the broader Niche you want to Target you
  • 9:24 | choose from a broad thing that you want
  • 9:25 | to be known as so if you put your face
  • 9:27 | on a website or created some type of
  • 9:29 | Niche site what would it be would it be
  • 9:31 | technology home outdoor software you can
  • 9:34 | you can choose like a broader Niche and
  • 9:37 | then over encompassing test sub niches
  • 9:39 | within it so have an idea of that and
  • 9:41 | that can be based on your professional
  • 9:42 | experience any leverage that you have
  • 9:44 | from a career maybe something that you
  • 9:46 | know a lot about because finding these
  • 9:48 | unique keywords and new products is
  • 9:49 | easier if you actually understand and
  • 9:51 | know the niche so start thinking about
  • 9:52 | the broader Niche there then you want to
  • 9:54 | build a topical map so what this means
  • 9:56 | is how many informational post do we
  • 9:58 | write how many transactional posts do we
  • 10:00 | write how do they all fit together to
  • 10:02 | rank so that’s why it’s like how to
  • 10:04 | choose the perfect affiliate Niche also
  • 10:06 | ties in with how to write the
  • 10:07 | informational content because you can’t
  • 10:09 | rank all the affiliate content on its
  • 10:11 | own you need that informational content
  • 10:13 | to both have topical Authority on the
  • 10:15 | subject build internal links build
  • 10:17 | traffic build real trust with your
  • 10:19 | audience but I would aim for like a
  • 10:21 | 75-25 informational to transactional
  • 10:23 | content so you’re writing more
  • 10:25 | informational content to then
  • 10:27 | transactional content we don’t want to
  • 10:28 | be like a thin affiliate site with only
  • 10:30 | best of Roundup posts about products we
  • 10:33 | also want to have a lot of informational
  • 10:34 | content around it so you start with some
  • 10:36 | informational posts to get some traffic
  • 10:38 | and some early wins and you want to just
  • 10:40 | create content ASAP at least 10 pieces
  • 10:42 | of content doing keyword research will
  • 10:43 | show you exactly how but let’s look at a
  • 10:45 | quick example all right so I put in best
  • 10:47 | stationary bikes into ahrefs to show
  • 10:49 | some of this indoor cycling type of
  • 10:51 | example now this was the antique one the
  • 10:53 | one that’s been around for a long time
  • 10:54 | we see that it’s pretty difficult to
  • 10:56 | rank for it’s 64 the volume isn’t all
  • 10:58 | that high the traffic potential is
  • 10:59 | pretty good but when we look at the top
  • 11:00 | 10 ranking results it’s super
  • 11:02 | competitive there’s Live Science Men’s
  • 11:04 | Health CNET New York Times it’s just
  • 11:06 | going to be hard to rank for this or
  • 11:08 | what about something like you know
  • 11:10 | stationary bike workout for beginners
  • 11:12 | the traffic volume is pretty high the
  • 11:14 | pet tenses of ranking are actually not
  • 11:16 | as bad because we see there’s a lower
  • 11:17 | ranking site in the top ten but even
  • 11:19 | something like Nordic Track versus
  • 11:20 | Peloton
  • 11:22 | has a pretty good volume 800. lower
  • 11:24 | difficulty traffic potential is 4.2 K
  • 11:27 | that’s per month and then we’re looking
  • 11:29 | down here and we can see there’s a ton
  • 11:30 | of lower there’s a few lower ranking
  • 11:32 | sites lower domain rating less
  • 11:34 | authoritative sites in the top 10 like
  • 11:36 | treadmill review Guru exercise bike.net
  • 11:39 | so that’s a good sign when there’s lower
  • 11:40 | Authority sites ranking on the first
  • 11:42 | page and the keyword difficulty score is
  • 11:43 | low by creating great content in this
  • 11:45 | specific keyword you can actually rank
  • 11:47 | for something like this another example
  • 11:49 | there is let’s say your Niche is
  • 11:50 | basketball so I played basketball in
  • 11:52 | high school I love playing basketball
  • 11:53 | what would you write about if you were a
  • 11:55 | Blog trying to make affiliate Revenue
  • 11:56 | through that Niche well there’s
  • 11:58 | basketball shoes there’s basketball
  • 12:00 | drills that’s informational there’s
  • 12:03 | improving your vertical leap that’s
  • 12:04 | another informational piece of content
  • 12:06 | then we have like something like best
  • 12:07 | vertical jump programs so that would be
  • 12:09 | an affiliate post where you’re
  • 12:10 | recommending the actual programs
  • 12:11 | themselves so your content lives in the
  • 12:13 | middle of all of this having
  • 12:14 | informational and transactional intent
  • 12:17 | those are the only two things that you
  • 12:18 | need to create any type of good
  • 12:20 | affiliate marketing blogs so you have
  • 12:22 | the the products in the niche and how to
  • 12:24 | do things with the products in the niche
  • 12:25 | so that’s kind of becoming an expert in
  • 12:27 | that individual category let’s talk
  • 12:29 | about finding and validating good
  • 12:30 | affiliate products so there’s different
  • 12:32 | affiliate networks there’s impact share
  • 12:34 | sale Commission Junction partner stack
  • 12:36 | partnerized Flex offers a win there’s a
  • 12:38 | lot of others and these are platforms
  • 12:40 | that have individual affiliate programs
  • 12:41 | inside them that you can join and really
  • 12:43 | you want to identify which Partners pay
  • 12:45 | the most you can do the math on what you
  • 12:47 | know potentially based on the keyword
  • 12:48 | research that you do
  • 12:50 | and then the price of the product the
  • 12:52 | commission rates that you get dictate
  • 12:53 | how much money you make and then you can
  • 12:55 | contact the brands directly so you can
  • 12:57 | contact them through the network just
  • 12:58 | click join to sign up for the affiliate
  • 13:00 | program and grab your links or you can
  • 13:01 | contact them directly they usually have
  • 13:03 | an email there where you can just ask to
  • 13:04 | join if they don’t answer your uh
  • 13:06 | individual application let’s look at a
  • 13:09 | few different affiliate platforms
  • 13:10 | networks and opportunities that we can
  • 13:11 | find all right so this is share a sales
  • 13:13 | affiliate Network and I clicked on the
  • 13:15 | marketplace and this is showing me all
  • 13:16 | kinds of different programs that I can
  • 13:17 | join and if information on them so we
  • 13:21 | can see there’s trending Merchants here
  • 13:22 | like Northwest registered agent Deluxe
  • 13:24 | good morning Grand Canyon west Pet
  • 13:27 | Supplies Plus you can narrow it down by
  • 13:29 | the different category here over on the
  • 13:31 | left side let’s say I was wanted to do
  • 13:34 | like Northwest registered agent I could
  • 13:36 | click on this one and say okay it’s a
  • 13:37 | hundred dollars per sale that’s cool
  • 13:38 | average sales 107 average commission 201
  • 13:41 | earnings per click 1560. now that’s
  • 13:44 | earnings per 100 clicks is actually how
  • 13:46 | that math works I don’t know why they do
  • 13:48 | it that way but the numbers are wrong
  • 13:50 | they’re one of the most popular ones
  • 13:52 | they’re they have a power ranking in
  • 13:53 | share sale so they’re a business and LLC
  • 13:56 | formation service so if I were to go to
  • 13:58 | the keyword Explorer I could search for
  • 14:00 | something like how to start a
  • 14:01 | landscaping business and then through
  • 14:03 | that type of informational post even I
  • 14:05 | could link to Northwest registered agent
  • 14:07 | to you know one step of starting your
  • 14:09 | business the first step is to file an
  • 14:11 | LLC sign up here so you could do that or
  • 14:14 | you could do how to start a business in
  • 14:17 | and I could do the matching terms tool
  • 14:19 | and I could see where what kind of
  • 14:21 | content could I create so Florida Texas
  • 14:23 | California you could have individual
  • 14:24 | articles on each state and this is kind
  • 14:26 | of like a database type of SEO where
  • 14:28 | people create all these different pieces
  • 14:30 | of content that might change words here
  • 14:32 | and there but you can rank for stuff
  • 14:34 | like that so
  • 14:35 | if you look for something like how to
  • 14:36 | start a business in Virginia
  • 14:38 | you see who’s ranking how to start an
  • 14:40 | LLC is on business but you can see the
  • 14:43 | difficulty somewhat low you just find
  • 14:44 | these opportunities and this is an
  • 14:46 | example of like even an informational
  • 14:47 | post becoming an affiliate post by
  • 14:49 | writing how to start a business well
  • 14:51 | first file an LLC Northwest registered
  • 14:53 | agent those are a hundred dollars a sale
  • 14:55 | all right next we’re going to look at
  • 14:56 | impact formerly known as impact radius
  • 14:58 | so this is what their Marketplace looks
  • 15:00 | like when you sign up as an affiliate
  • 15:01 | you can see all the different brands in
  • 15:03 | here Uncommon Goods
  • 15:05 | Vineyard Vines peacock ESPN plus if
  • 15:08 | you’re talking about different streaming
  • 15:09 | services pure hemp so like CBD products
  • 15:13 | lots of different stuff when I saw here
  • 15:15 | just at the top when I was looking was
  • 15:16 | something like watches so live switch
  • 15:18 | watches Swiss watches uh 10 for every
  • 15:22 | sale so I don’t know much about this
  • 15:24 | brand you can find like a watch brand
  • 15:25 | with sand impact and then you would go
  • 15:26 | to
  • 15:27 | uhrefs and you could put in like best
  • 15:29 | watches and see what comes up in the
  • 15:31 | matching terms tool so there’s best
  • 15:33 | watches for men smart watches running
  • 15:34 | watches women’s watches what if we turn
  • 15:37 | the difficulty down to like 25 hit apply
  • 15:40 | and then we can find the easier
  • 15:41 | opportunities
  • 15:42 | best watches under a thousand best field
  • 15:45 | watches military watches let’s try
  • 15:48 | something like best watches under 2000
  • 15:50 | looks like the competition is only low
  • 15:52 | at seven and then we look down at the
  • 15:53 | top ten we can see a site you know wrist
  • 15:57 | enthusiast.com
  • 15:58 | low domain rating 26 we have another one
  • 16:01 | Exquisite timepiece is 39 gnome watches
  • 16:04 | so this one’s an easier one to rank for
  • 16:06 | so it’s really like looking at the niche
  • 16:08 | finding look at all these different
  • 16:10 | keywords you could write about watches
  • 16:11 | hiking Swiss so Swiss would fix it
  • 16:13 | looked like a Swiss brand golf watches
  • 16:15 | dress watches and then you join like you
  • 16:17 | can find one maybe an impact like that
  • 16:19 | brand you can Google them like the Rolex
  • 16:21 | affiliate program if they have one other
  • 16:23 | major brands you start adding your links
  • 16:25 | in but really it’s about finding the
  • 16:27 | keyword first it’s not just like I want
  • 16:28 | to promote that company in that Niche
  • 16:30 | it’s like what’s the broad Niche you
  • 16:32 | want to go in what is the keyword
  • 16:34 | opportunities what are the articles I
  • 16:36 | want to write best of Roundup posts and
  • 16:38 | then go from there our next let’s check
  • 16:39 | out partner stack which is a popular
  • 16:41 | affiliate Network for software so you
  • 16:43 | can see all kinds of different programs
  • 16:45 | in here and categories like their social
  • 16:46 | media HR marketing productivity but
  • 16:49 | let’s see we can see a lot of different
  • 16:51 | featured Brands here AI email
  • 16:53 | productivity tool that’s an interesting
  • 16:56 | one what if I put an AI email AI email
  • 16:59 | generator AI email assistant
  • 17:02 | AI email software and this could be
  • 17:05 | interesting AI email marketing software
  • 17:07 | this could be one that I would write
  • 17:09 | because it looks so new even though the
  • 17:11 | volume is 10 I guarantee you it’s a lot
  • 17:13 | a little bit higher than that you know
  • 17:14 | it’s going to be probably in the
  • 17:15 | hundreds I’ve had articles where you see
  • 17:17 | the volume in one of these tools is like
  • 17:18 | non-existent but you have a feeling like
  • 17:20 | people are probably searching for that
  • 17:22 | next up is partner stack which has a lot
  • 17:23 | of software affiliate programs inside of
  • 17:25 | it so you can join this and then you see
  • 17:27 | like there’s all kinds of brands in here
  • 17:28 | and you can just categorize it as well
  • 17:30 | narrow it down you can see there’s a ton
  • 17:32 | and they’re all you know in here
  • 17:34 | differently but when I see here is like
  • 17:35 | email AI email productivity tool so I’d
  • 17:38 | go to ahrefs I’d put in like AI email
  • 17:41 | matching terms AI email generator
  • 17:43 | assistant AI email assistant maybe that
  • 17:46 | could be a good one you look down you
  • 17:49 | could probably rank for it low
  • 17:50 | difficulty volumes low and what’s
  • 17:52 | interesting too is like sometimes for
  • 17:54 | things that are really new like AI
  • 17:55 | related stuff this could say 10 the
  • 17:57 | volume could be 10 but it’s probably in
  • 17:58 | the hundreds it’s just so new and early
  • 18:00 | that if you have a hunch this is why
  • 18:01 | knowing the niche is important but if
  • 18:03 | you have a hunch you probably can write
  • 18:05 | write it without just relying on these
  • 18:07 | SEO tools we have to think about the
  • 18:08 | business strategy behind this stuff so
  • 18:10 | that’s an interesting example looking at
  • 18:12 | partner stack you can just look at
  • 18:13 | different software so I put in something
  • 18:15 | like best software and I go to the
  • 18:17 | matching terms tool I can see all kinds
  • 18:19 | of different stuff a lot of it’s very
  • 18:20 | competitive and old but if I were to do
  • 18:22 | you know difficulty of only 10 which is
  • 18:25 | really low I might be able to find a
  • 18:27 | couple things like best clipping
  • 18:28 | software CRM software for hotels so you
  • 18:31 | find these individual opportunities we
  • 18:33 | have to think of okay I want to be in
  • 18:35 | the broad software Niche or I want to be
  • 18:37 | broadly in you know AI or something like
  • 18:39 | that so that’s another way to find
  • 18:41 | typical you know affiliate programs with
  • 18:43 | partner stack all right let’s look at a
  • 18:44 | few affiliate example sites different
  • 18:46 | blogs just to get an idea of kind of how
  • 18:48 | this works when choosing your Niche so
  • 18:50 | first I want to show is something like
  • 18:52 | the snow outdoor snow type of Niche so
  • 18:55 | this is like be outdoors snowshoeing for
  • 18:57 | beginners how to get started so this is
  • 18:59 | an informational post right all about
  • 19:01 | snowshoes and how they work or there’s
  • 19:03 | something like
  • 19:04 | undiscoveredmountains.com which is what
  • 19:06 | is snowshoeing so this is another piece
  • 19:08 | of informational content the history of
  • 19:10 | snowshoeing all about it another one is
  • 19:12 | New England Indian Resorts five beginner
  • 19:14 | friendly New England snowshoeing Trails
  • 19:16 | so Trails could be another informational
  • 19:18 | piece of content related to the niche
  • 19:20 | then let’s see like if we wanted to make
  • 19:21 | money let’s look at ahrefs we can see
  • 19:23 | like best snowshoes so pretty low
  • 19:25 | difficulty uh decent search volume then
  • 19:29 | we go down the list and we can see that
  • 19:30 | there’s a few lower Authority sites like
  • 19:32 | treelinereview.com ranking in the top 10
  • 19:34 | which is a good sign we could look at
  • 19:36 | something like best women’s snowshoes
  • 19:38 | which is another one or we could look at
  • 19:40 | something like best budget snowshoes so
  • 19:42 | again it’s about finding those unique
  • 19:44 | opportunities in each Niche alright so
  • 19:45 | let’s say you’re in the home Niche and
  • 19:47 | you want to write about furniture and
  • 19:48 | recommend Furniture join affiliate
  • 19:50 | programs make commissions on expensive
  • 19:52 | furniture well here’s a few examples of
  • 19:54 | posts so here’s the 12 best modular
  • 19:56 | sectional sofas this is by Beth R Martin
  • 19:58 | who’s actually in our community one of
  • 20:01 | our blog engine students who’s ranking
  • 20:03 | on page one like number four for best
  • 20:05 | modular sectional which is really cool
  • 20:06 | so that’s good to see and there’s
  • 20:08 | affiliate links here for burrow and
  • 20:10 | different brands there’s also RTA
  • 20:13 | outdoorliving.com which you know
  • 20:14 | something like modular outdoor kitchens
  • 20:16 | pros and cons plus the best options so
  • 20:18 | you know talking about them and then
  • 20:21 | promoting and recommending different
  • 20:23 | outdoor kitchens so
  • 20:25 | shop now links all that kind of stuff
  • 20:28 | and then you know there’s another one
  • 20:29 | here the family handyman nine outdoor
  • 20:31 | kitchen kits for cooking up a storm
  • 20:33 | interesting so kitchen kits never heard
  • 20:35 | of it but it’s one of these like outdoor
  • 20:38 | kitchen sink thingies with you can cook
  • 20:41 | on it I guess uh so that’s interesting
  • 20:43 | then we look at some keywords in ahrefs
  • 20:45 | we can see like modular Furniture
  • 20:46 | systems an interesting one 22 lower
  • 20:48 | difficulty or best modular Furniture a
  • 20:51 | lot of good traffic potential low
  • 20:52 | difficulty what is modular Furniture
  • 20:54 | very low you know competition good
  • 20:57 | volume there so there’s a lot of
  • 20:58 | interesting things you could put like
  • 20:59 | best tables into ahrefs find all the
  • 21:01 | variations of tables chairs armoires
  • 21:04 | whatever Furniture you need beds patio
  • 21:08 | stuff you just put the words in best
  • 21:11 | patio
  • 21:12 | you go to the matching terms tool and
  • 21:15 | you see what happens you know patio
  • 21:16 | heater
  • 21:17 | patio heaters doors
  • 21:20 | umbrellas for wind yet you put the
  • 21:22 | difficulty down to like 20 you find the
  • 21:25 | easy stuff
  • 21:27 | this is what you write best patio
  • 21:29 | furniture covers patio misting system
  • 21:31 | it’s an endless slew of things in
  • 21:33 | different niches that you can find let’s
  • 21:35 | talk about the fitness Niche so there’s
  • 21:36 | tons of Fitness opportunities the
  • 21:38 | informational intent in Fitness is
  • 21:40 | keywords around workouts and exercises
  • 21:42 | right a lot of search volume for those
  • 21:44 | not a ton of affiliate revenue for those
  • 21:46 | but I’ll show you some examples so
  • 21:47 | here’s one from greatest leg up your
  • 21:49 | homework out 15 leg exercises so showing
  • 21:52 | pictures and doing leg exercises we have
  • 21:54 | 10 workout plans for women at home
  • 21:56 | beginner friendly which is nice and then
  • 21:59 | we have a few uh transactional ones like
  • 22:01 | Tom’s guide so best home gym equipment
  • 22:04 | 2023 so like exercise bikes with
  • 22:06 | affiliate links to Amazon Walmart and
  • 22:08 | Lowe’s Peloton tread with you know
  • 22:10 | Amazon and Peloton affiliate links as
  • 22:13 | well or something like P90X review do
  • 22:15 | the workouts still work as Tony Horton’s
  • 22:17 | still jacked I think so I believe in it
  • 22:20 | P90x and you kind of cover the review
  • 22:23 | there so looking at ahrefs there’s
  • 22:24 | things like leg workouts at home
  • 22:27 | medium difficulty kind of hard but a lot
  • 22:30 | of search volume right that’s the
  • 22:31 | article we found beginner home workout
  • 22:34 | pretty hard as well
  • 22:36 | best homework out here
  • 22:38 | pretty hard a lot of search volume P90X
  • 22:41 | review not as hard difficulty is low
  • 22:44 | search volume is decent so Fitness is
  • 22:46 | like moderately competitive uh sites
  • 22:49 | have been talking about Fitness for a
  • 22:51 | while there’s big media sites to do it
  • 22:52 | but it’s like gauging the tolerance of
  • 22:53 | your Niche I think when we think about
  • 22:54 | what are the easiest niches to write
  • 22:56 | about versus the hardest well the
  • 22:57 | hardest are going to be things that big
  • 22:59 | media sites write about like Forbes like
  • 23:00 | business software Finance
  • 23:03 | gadgets and Tech those are probably the
  • 23:05 | most competitive when we look at the
  • 23:07 | least competitive think about affiliate
  • 23:09 | niches like on Amazon things like
  • 23:11 | outdoor goods and gear that’s not as
  • 23:14 | competitive you don’t see Forbes writing
  • 23:15 | about that as much indoor products
  • 23:17 | Furniture is not too bad sometimes it
  • 23:20 | just depends like power tools are easy
  • 23:21 | gardening there’s all kinds of physical
  • 23:23 | products when you think about what Niche
  • 23:25 | you want what do you love what do you
  • 23:27 | buy on Amazon and then what can you look
  • 23:29 | at a tool like ahrefs or SEO tools and
  • 23:31 | find these opportunities that way so we
  • 23:32 | can also look at like the finance Niche
  • 23:34 | for example as a competitive one so
  • 23:35 | here’s one like what is Robo investing
  • 23:38 | kind of difficult or best Robo advisors
  • 23:41 | so you’ve got something like nerdwall
  • 23:42 | here writing about Robo advisors or
  • 23:45 | money under 30 writing about them but
  • 23:47 | there’s different content there or if
  • 23:49 | you’re in the you know SAS business you
  • 23:51 | could say how to start a SAS business
  • 23:52 | software as a service difficulty is not
  • 23:54 | as bad volume’s 40 traffic potential is
  • 23:56 | all right and then you can find like
  • 23:57 | some software SAS stuff like best no
  • 23:59 | code app builder that search volume is
  • 24:01 | increasing low difficulty so really
  • 24:03 | about finding these opportunities like
  • 24:04 | if I think of finance and I’m like all
  • 24:06 | right I want to create a finance site
  • 24:07 | I’m a financial planner I’m good to go
  • 24:09 | I’m going to put in best credit card
  • 24:12 | and I’m gonna go to the matching term so
  • 24:13 | I’m gonna see how competitive it is well
  • 24:14 | you can see like best okay best travel
  • 24:17 | credit card 78. best I’m gonna put in s
  • 24:21 | best credit cards
  • 24:23 | and look at this best credit cards 85
  • 24:25 | nerd wall at the site sitting at the top
  • 24:27 | they get affiliate commissions
  • 24:29 | percentages on people signing up for
  • 24:31 | credit cards they’re basically printing
  • 24:32 | money at this point and it looks kind of
  • 24:34 | competitive best credit cards to build
  • 24:35 | credit all kinds of different stuff but
  • 24:37 | if you look at the difficulty and I want
  • 24:38 | to bring it down to 20 what would even
  • 24:40 | appear here let’s see so
  • 24:42 | there’s still opportunities there’s not
  • 24:44 | as many best business travel credit
  • 24:46 | cards at 16 best credit cards for young
  • 24:48 | adults no annual fee so you’d have to go
  • 24:51 | long tail on something like that right
  • 24:53 | so we’re finding that versus crazy
  • 24:56 | difficulty or something like phishing
  • 24:58 | like you like fishing there’s all kinds
  • 25:00 | of products lines rods reels hooks lures
  • 25:03 | jig heads live bait bait casters Nets
  • 25:07 | there’s all kinds of products when it
  • 25:09 | relates to fishing you can see like
  • 25:10 | something like that’s less competitive
  • 25:11 | best fishing kayaks rods lines like the
  • 25:14 | things that are actually a little bit
  • 25:16 | more uh product based not super you know
  • 25:19 | super competitive things that are
  • 25:20 | actually physical products are a lot
  • 25:22 | easier to rank for so think about that
  • 25:23 | when choosing your Niche what is your
  • 25:25 | pain tolerance basically if you want to
  • 25:27 | go into finance and choose that as your
  • 25:28 | Niche sure you could make some money and
  • 25:30 | you could find like you know maybe some
  • 25:32 | Niche Insurance examples if I go to
  • 25:34 | insurance
  • 25:35 | and I put the difficulty down to 20 and
  • 25:39 | I apply that I can see all right what
  • 25:40 | kind of insurance articles could I write
  • 25:42 | I could write like RV Insurance 19
  • 25:45 | difficulty that’s not bad landlord
  • 25:46 | Insurance pet insurance
  • 25:48 | dental insurance so like yeah there’s
  • 25:50 | potentially opportunities out there
  • 25:52 | definitely there’s opportunities in
  • 25:53 | every Niche and that’s the thing when we
  • 25:55 | think about the best Niche the best
  • 25:56 | Niche whatever you want to call it the
  • 25:58 | best category of things they’re not
  • 26:00 | static they come and go search volume
  • 26:03 | changes there’s all kinds of new
  • 26:04 | products in every single Niche so the
  • 26:05 | key is finding ones that are low
  • 26:07 | competition you can find you know a lot
  • 26:09 | of articles that you can write and
  • 26:10 | monetize so the key ultimately is to
  • 26:12 | pick a broader Niche to start with and
  • 26:14 | publish content and then figure that
  • 26:16 | perfect Niche out over time so think
  • 26:17 | about new and emerging things in your
  • 26:19 | Niche that aren’t competitive that is
  • 26:20 | the key timing is a crucial component of
  • 26:22 | affiliate marketing getting in early
  • 26:24 | writing the content you know before most
  • 26:25 | people do is key so if you’re going to
  • 26:27 | go into something like software you
  • 26:29 | would do like AI software or newer stuff
  • 26:31 | if you’re going into fitness go into
  • 26:33 | like you know if you started a Blog
  • 26:35 | about pelotons and at home fitness
  • 26:36 | during the pandemic that would have been
  • 26:38 | the perfect timing for that so what’s
  • 26:40 | new in every single Niche so really
  • 26:42 | think about what’s the perfect Niche
  • 26:43 | there’s there’s like different
  • 26:44 | categories that we can bucket it in
  • 26:45 | there’s software which gives recurring
  • 26:48 | affiliate emissions pretty competitive
  • 26:49 | because of that recurring nature of the
  • 26:52 | affiliate links there’s Finance which is
  • 26:55 | also really competitive because you can
  • 26:57 | make percentages of giant things like
  • 26:59 | retirement plans loans all that stuff so
  • 27:01 | that’s really competitive and then over
  • 27:03 | here I think there’s physical products
  • 27:04 | so those are the physical products it’s
  • 27:06 | the least competitive because you get
  • 27:07 | one-time commissions on the sale of
  • 27:09 | these products but the key is finding
  • 27:11 | high priced products things that people
  • 27:13 | buy on Amazon for a thousand dollars two
  • 27:16 | thousand dollars or so and figuring out
  • 27:18 | what physical product Niche you want to
  • 27:20 | get into is it outdoor is it indoor is
  • 27:22 | it Furniture is it thing you know
  • 27:24 | there’s there’s opportunities endless
  • 27:25 | opportunities everywhere it’s really
  • 27:27 | tying it to your identity choosing
  • 27:29 | something that you will not quit that
  • 27:31 | you will continue building that’s why I
  • 27:33 | created my site just at my name at first
  • 27:35 | it was just a digital resume I was going
  • 27:36 | to use it for my career but once I
  • 27:38 | started making money with it I just
  • 27:40 | couldn’t stop so that’s the key of the
  • 27:41 | difference between like choosing the
  • 27:42 | perfect Niche versus building it around
  • 27:44 | you you are the niche you are the brand
  • 27:46 | you can build something for yourself
  • 27:48 | start that blog create affiliate
  • 27:49 | marketing content and base it on
  • 27:51 | informational and transactional content
