  • 1:29 | all right so let’s go through these one
  • 1:30 | by one and validate them with an SEO
  • 1:33 | tool so we have a lot of good ones here
  • 1:34 | and this is you know giving you a lot so

  • 1:43 | so let’s just go what we would do is we
  • 1:45 | would go by these one by one and see
  • 1:47 | what we like best so yes it does make
  • 1:48 | sense to know something about some of
  • 1:50 | these niches before you get started but
  • 1:52 | we’re just trying to find ones that can
  • 1:53 | make us money that are easy to rank for
  • 1:54 | with keywords that can generate
  • 1:56 | affiliate Revenue so I’m going to use
  • 1:58 | the ahrefs keyword Explorer I’m going to
  • 2:00 | put in the first one which is camping
  • 2:01 | with the word best which signifies buyer
  • 2:04 | intent so if someone’s searching for the
  • 2:05 | best camping gear tents poles whatever
  • 2:08 | it is they’re using the word best
  • 2:10 | they’re not ready to buy they’re looking
  • 2:11 | for a Blog to provide that a comparative
  • 2:13 | content and generate affiliate Revenue
  • 2:15 | so if we go to the matching terms tool
  • 2:17 | we can see all the different camping
  • 2:18 | variations so in general camping when
  • 2:21 | you think about it think about your
  • 2:22 | Niche with chat GPT and it’s like has it
  • 2:24 | been around for a long time like camping
  • 2:26 | you know and camping blogs have been
  • 2:28 | around for a long time so it’s a little
  • 2:29 | bit more competitive we see that there’s
  • 2:30 | numbers here like 45 50s so this is a
  • 2:33 | number from 0 to 100 based on the
  • 2:35 | competition of the keyword so the lower
  • 2:37 | number the better the easier to rank for
  • 2:39 | the less competition there is so it
  • 2:41 | looks like you know camping is mildly
  • 2:42 | competitive some of the easier ones to
  • 2:44 | rank for would be like camping cots and
  • 2:47 | things like camping pillows you’ll
  • 2:49 | generally see in any Niche that the
  • 2:51 | lower price the product the less
  • 2:52 | competitive it is because people want to
  • 2:54 | make the highest commissions on higher
  • 2:55 | priced products which is why things like
  • 2:57 | camping tents is more competitive than
  • 3:00 | camping cots or camping stoves but what
  • 3:02 | we can do here is we can take it a step
  • 3:04 | further and we can drop that difficulty
  • 3:05 | down to only show things with
  • 3:07 | difficulties up to 20. and we can see a
  • 3:10 | lot of different interesting articles
  • 3:11 | that we can write so we’ll see that a
  • 3:13 | lot of these lower competition ones are
  • 3:15 | related to camping in certain States so
  • 3:17 | that’s actually more informational
  • 3:18 | content that’s not really affiliate
  • 3:20 | content but what we can do is we can
  • 3:22 | exclude the word in
  • 3:24 | from the search so that it’ll say you
  • 3:26 | know it might still show a few of them
  • 3:28 | but it’ll be less so it’ll be a lot
  • 3:29 | easier to use so we can see pillow knife
  • 3:32 | pillows camping tables Hatchet axes
  • 3:34 | showers generator snacks fans blankets
  • 3:37 | tons of things here flashlights
  • 3:39 | generators apps so griddles like all
  • 3:42 | kinds of different stuff and when you
  • 3:44 | see this number in ahref this is saying
  • 3:45 | there’s 350 searches per month for best
  • 3:48 | pop-up tent for camping now this is only
  • 3:51 | related to this one keyword best pop-up
  • 3:53 | tent for camping if I were to actually
  • 3:55 | click into that and see how many you
  • 3:56 | know what’s the lowest number I should
  • 3:58 | go after well you should go after
  • 3:59 | anything like over 50 because what tends
  • 4:01 | to happen is yes this is best to pop up
  • 4:04 | tent for camping the volume is 350 but
  • 4:07 | the traffic potential the traffic you
  • 4:08 | can actually get when ranking for this
  • 4:10 | is more like 4 000 because you could
  • 4:12 | actually start ranking for lots of
  • 4:13 | keywords so if I were to click into one
  • 4:15 | of these like this site
  • 4:16 | beyondthetent.com and I looked at all
  • 4:18 | the keywords that they were ranking for
  • 4:20 | they’re actually there’s one articles
  • 4:21 | ranking for 1100 keywords and different
  • 4:24 | variations because when you think about
  • 4:25 | it for affiliate marketing everyone
  • 4:27 | searches a little bit differently like I
  • 4:28 | search differently than my grandma does
  • 4:30 | than my brother does so people could be
  • 4:31 | searching best pop-up tent for camping
  • 4:33 | or biggest pop-up tent or easy pop-up
  • 4:36 | tents large small all instant and you’ll
  • 4:39 | see that in this these are all different
  • 4:42 | keywords but Google is condensing it
  • 4:44 | down into one topic one thing so Google
  • 4:46 | knows like yeah everyone searches a
  • 4:48 | little bit differently but let’s
  • 4:49 | condense it down into one specific topic
  • 4:52 | so I would say in general when you’re
  • 4:55 | looking at keywords anything that’s over
  • 4:56 | like 50 it could be a good really good
  • 4:58 | opportunity even 10. sometimes if you
  • 5:00 | know the niche really well a tool like
  • 5:02 | hrefs or another SEO tool might say zero
  • 5:04 | but you know like no way that’s zero so
  • 5:06 | you can spot Trends and get ahead of it

  • 7:01 | we’re really interested in outdoor
  • 7:02 | living rving camping the van life we see
  • 7:05 | best solar panels generators so these
  • 7:07 | are going to be really competitive like
  • 7:08 | best solar panels and companies there’s
  • 7:10 | a lot of money probably in cost per lead
  • 7:12 | acquisition for people talking about the
  • 7:14 | best solar companies again let’s drop
  • 7:15 | that difficulty down to 20 and we’ll
  • 7:17 | find if these are actually good
  • 7:18 | opportunities or not so yeah there’s a
  • 7:20 | lot here so you can see here’s 50
  • 7:21 | articles that you could write some of
  • 7:23 | them might be duplicates but best solar
  • 7:25 | power bank phone charger pool covers so
  • 7:28 | you could do like an entire blog about
  • 7:29 | eco-friendly products with solar as one
  • 7:31 | of your sub niches again we’re looking
  • 7:33 | for sub niches here but we don’t have to
  • 7:35 | pick just one specific one perfect Niche
  • 7:37 | and call ourselves the
  • 7:39 | solarperson.com right or the
  • 7:41 | solarguy.com or girl what we want to do
  • 7:43 | is like we want to dominate multiple sub
  • 7:45 | niches in a broader one which is much
  • 7:47 | like we create an eco-friendly blog we
  • 7:49 | could write 100 articles on solar stuff
  • 7:51 | we could write another 100 articles on
  • 7:53 | biodegradable products and all kinds of
  • 7:55 | different things and it’s really about
  • 7:56 | just expanding your topical Authority in
  • 7:59 | that area so yes we want to generate
  • 8:00 | affiliate revenue and find the best
  • 8:02 | niches for chat GPT and what can make us
  • 8:03 | the most money but we also need
  • 8:05 | informational content to support those
  • 8:07 | transactional articles so let’s look at
  • 8:09 | the next one which is kayaks
  • 8:11 | so we can do best kayak
  • 8:14 | and really when we think about like the
  • 8:16 | affiliate Revenue potential we’ll do
  • 8:18 | some math on it and think about it but
  • 8:20 | really when it comes down to it it’s
  • 8:21 | like there’s a really simple formula for
  • 8:23 | it so it’s like how high priced is the
  • 8:25 | product that you’re recommending and
  • 8:26 | then what’s the commission rate and
  • 8:28 | there’s a few other things like how many
  • 8:29 | searches does it get and how much
  • 8:31 | traffic can you get for it but really
  • 8:33 | you know it’s a simple equation if it’s
  • 8:34 | a higher priced product and you can
  • 8:36 | assume in an e-commerce physical product
  • 8:38 | Niche you can get like eight to ten
  • 8:40 | percent commission just just do back of
  • 8:42 | the napkin math on that so we’re talking
  • 8:44 | about a kayak maybe you could recommend
  • 8:46 | a 500 kayak a two thousand dollar kayak
  • 8:49 | that’s kind of the range of pricing
  • 8:50 | typically so that is obviously more
  • 8:52 | lucrative than a solar flashlight or
  • 8:55 | something like that right so think about
  • 8:56 | the product think about Amazon what it
  • 8:57 | costs and how much money you can
  • 8:59 | actually make if you’re selling a bunch
  • 9:00 | of them we’ll do the math in the future
  • 9:01 | but kayaking is another good
  • 9:03 | opportunities inflatable kayak

  • 9:20 | when you think about the niches that can
  • 9:23 | make the most money well we have to
  • 9:25 | first we have to rank for a lot of this
  • 9:26 | stuff and a lot of keywords not just one
  • 9:28 | it’s not always just a single high
  • 9:30 | ticket thing that we want to rank for we
  • 9:32 | want to be able to write a lot of
  • 9:33 | Articles and rank a lot of Articles to
  • 9:34 | diversify our affiliate revenue and the
  • 9:37 | problem sometimes is if we try a super
  • 9:38 | competitive Niche like technology or
  • 9:41 | software or business things well you’re
  • 9:44 | going to be competing against more media
  • 9:46 | sites like Forbes the New York Times
  • 9:47 | CNET tech radar they’re writing all that
  • 9:50 | stuff but there’s not huge media sites
  • 9:53 | typically writing about Outdoor Products
  • 9:55 | in some indoor products furniture and
  • 9:58 | stuff like that so kayaking is another
  • 10:00 | great opportunity tons of Articles you
  • 10:02 | could write and rank for talking about
  • 10:04 | kayaks which are a pretty mid price
  • 10:06 | point product all right let’s go to
  • 10:07 | Urban outdoor activities so this is
  • 10:09 | things like barbecues fishing gear more
  • 10:12 | like backyard patio type of stuff rather
  • 10:14 | than deep in the wilderness but we could
  • 10:16 | do barbecue or like let’s do Grill and
  • 10:19 | we can see the opportunities here for
  • 10:21 | this Niche so pellet grill gas grill
  • 10:23 | charcoal grills again some of them look
  • 10:25 | competitive we’ll drop the difficulty
  • 10:26 | down to up to 20 and show the results
  • 10:28 | and we can see again lots of amazing
  • 10:31 | opportunities here writing about grills
  • 10:33 | which can also be expensive low end 300
  • 10:35 | up to Traeger Grills and smokers pellet
  • 10:38 | grills things that are a couple thousand
  • 10:40 | dollars up to even probably five
  • 10:41 | thousand dollars or more you can do
  • 10:43 | things like outdoor pizza ovens patio
  • 10:45 | furniture backyard games all of that
  • 10:47 | stuff and really make a lot of money
  • 10:49 | based on that so you can see just in
  • 10:51 | grills specifically here’s 50 articles
  • 10:53 | you know there might be some duplicates
  • 10:54 | but ones that you can write about girls
  • 10:56 | under 500 Sushi outdoor electric meat
  • 10:58 | infrared just an insane amount of
  • 11:00 | opportunities here with low competition
  • 11:01 | so you know you can look into a lot of
  • 11:03 | these there’s more like pet friendly
  • 11:05 | products dog stuff lightweight
  • 11:07 | backpacking so going on Long hiking
  • 11:09 | trips with backpacking hiking for
  • 11:11 | seniors outdoor photography gear and
  • 11:13 | these are just 10 ideas you can say give
  • 11:15 | me 10 more please and they’ll give you
  • 11:17 | 10 more and then you can keep looking
  • 11:18 | and validating this stuff so the
  • 11:20 | opportunities are a lot bigger than you
  • 11:22 | think so I really like outdoor products
  • 11:24 | and physical products like that because
  • 11:25 | it’s less competitive you can rank for
  • 11:27 | tons of different articles really
  • 11:29 | dominate topical Authority so let’s look
  • 11:31 | at another tool we could potentially use
  • 11:32 | to find these things so let’s say that
  • 11:34 | you wanted to rank for kayaks and you
  • 11:36 | have here’s 20 articles I’m going to
  • 11:38 | write about these different product
  • 11:39 | lists and write them out for affiliate
  • 11:40 | Revenue well how do we dominate topical
  • 11:42 | Authority well you can use a tool like
  • 11:44 | meet a glimpse which is a really cool
  • 11:46 | extension so it’s a Chrome extension and
  • 11:48 | it adds data to Google Trends and it’s a
  • 11:51 | new it’s really new I just learned about
  • 11:53 | it from our blogging coach Eddie in blog
  • 11:55 | growth engine and it’s really cool so
  • 11:57 | let me show you this so you can search
  • 11:58 | for like kayaking and you can see the
  • 12:00 | monthly searches over time so we see
  • 12:01 | that the search volume increases in the
  • 12:03 | summer which makes sense when people are
  • 12:04 | kayaking drops in the winter and you can
  • 12:07 | see generally in the last year it’s gone
  • 12:08 | down about 11 so maybe people in 2020 oh
  • 12:12 | this is actually five years so in the
  • 12:14 | past five years it’s gone down a tiny
  • 12:15 | bit so nothing really crazy here more
  • 12:18 | people in 2020 searching for it probably
  • 12:19 | getting out of the pandemic doing more
  • 12:21 | outdoor activities but it’s gone down a
  • 12:22 | tiny bit but this is really interesting
  • 12:24 | so you can then see people also search
  • 12:26 | so questions so if you want to write
  • 12:28 | informational content around kayaking to
  • 12:31 | prop up those transactional affiliate
  • 12:33 | posts and dominate Google you would
  • 12:35 | write a lot of these so like is kayaking
  • 12:37 | good exercise is it safe during
  • 12:38 | pregnancy a sport what to wear when
  • 12:40 | you’re kayaking is it fun dangerous
  • 12:41 | worth it and you can look at all of
  • 12:43 | these different things and see that
  • 12:45 | there’s lots of different things you can
  • 12:46 | search for so things like different
  • 12:47 | places and cities can you kayak in
  • 12:49 | Yellowstone all of that and you can just
  • 12:51 | look down you can see related queries
  • 12:53 | pet friend friendly Airbnb is going up
  • 12:55 | lots of Trends here kayak rentals dog
  • 12:57 | beach easy bikes and all of that and
  • 12:59 | what’s really cool as you can see this
  • 13:01 | is the topical map so you can see that
  • 13:03 | kayaking if you start dominating for
  • 13:05 | kayaking you can also
  • 13:07 | you know look at the related topics so
  • 13:10 | what is related in Google’s eyes are
  • 13:12 | generally when we think about topical
  • 13:13 | Authority and SEO well with kayaking you
  • 13:16 | can see that it’s related to like
  • 13:18 | somewhat related to rock climbing boat
  • 13:20 | tours kayak rentals jet skis skydiving
  • 13:23 | like fun outdoor activities right so if
  • 13:26 | you if you wrote like 100 articles on
  • 13:28 | kayaking you’re ranking for like a 30
  • 13:30 | transactional affiliate articles making
  • 13:32 | let’s say you’re making ten thousand
  • 13:33 | dollars a month you have another 70 uh
  • 13:37 | informational articles you’re ranking
  • 13:38 | you’re getting ad Revenue you’re making
  • 13:39 | 15 20 grand a month from just kayaking
  • 13:42 | you’re like okay let me try to expand my
  • 13:43 | topical Authority I’m dominating and
  • 13:45 | killing it and kayaking let me go to
  • 13:47 | skydiving or let me try you know jet ski
  • 13:50 | type content or boating something I
  • 13:52 | would say boating is a little bit more
  • 13:53 | related so this is a really good tool
  • 13:55 | it’s pretty cool to use and you can
  • 13:58 | really spot Trends this way it’s an
  • 14:00 | add-on to Google Trends and it gives you
  • 14:01 | a lot of really good information about
  • 14:03 | topical Maps can you rank for it in new
  • 14:05 | and emerging keywords so that’s all
  • 14:06 | Outdoor Products what if we want to do
  • 14:08 | software so we could say what are the
  • 14:10 | best niches for affiliate whether the
  • 14:12 | software niches for affiliate marketing
  • 14:13 | they should have low competition and be
  • 14:15 | new and easy to rank for on Google all
  • 14:18 | right so now it gave us you know a bunch
  • 14:19 | of different software ideas remote team
  • 14:21 | onboarding virtual events AI content
  • 14:23 | privacy mental health local SEO iot lots
  • 14:27 | of different interesting ones you can
  • 14:28 | keep just going down the list another
  • 14:29 | thing you can do in ahrefs is just put
  • 14:31 | in best software
  • 14:33 | and use the matching terms too now
  • 14:35 | you’re going to see this is really
  • 14:36 | competitive right there’s like 70s 80s
  • 14:38 | stuff’s really tough but again if you
  • 14:40 | drop that difficulty down to 20 and you
  • 14:42 | show the results there it’s going to
  • 14:43 | show newer stuff less competitive stuff
  • 14:45 | so like crms for hotels contractor
  • 14:48 | management software lots of beat making
  • 14:50 | and DJ software golf simulator software
  • 14:53 | so a lot of interesting ones there if we
  • 14:55 | saw like in these ones there’s something
  • 14:58 | like e-learning course creation software
  • 15:00 | so a couple years ago I found this and I
  • 15:03 | now I’m ranking number like seven for
  • 15:06 | best online course platforms and that
  • 15:08 | one’s made me a lot of money over the
  • 15:10 | last three four years where it’s
  • 15:13 | probably making me over twenty thousand
  • 15:14 | dollars a month just from that one
  • 15:16 | article because it was ranking number
  • 15:17 | one and two it’s down to seven now but
  • 15:19 | we’ve been doing some updates and
  • 15:21 | strategies and building some topical
  • 15:22 | Authority around it so you can find
  • 15:24 | software opportunities uh it’s a little
  • 15:26 | bit more competitive
  • 15:28 | um and you definitely want to kind of
  • 15:29 | dominate one sub Niche within software
  • 15:31 | and really find you know your specific
  • 15:33 | uh smaller sub Niche when it comes to
  • 15:35 | that another thing you can use at Chad
  • 15:37 | GPT for is to find those articles uh to
  • 15:40 | build topical Authority so let’s say
  • 15:42 | that you wanted to rank for telescope
  • 15:44 | stuff so we saw that as a potential
  • 15:46 | outdoor option let’s say well I would
  • 15:48 | put in I want to rank on Google for best
  • 15:49 | telescopes for stargazing give me 10
  • 15:51 | informational articles that I should
  • 15:53 | write about this topic to increase my
  • 15:55 | topical Authority in this area these
  • 15:56 | articles should have good search volume
  • 15:57 | and be easy to rank for so as we can see
  • 16:00 | now there’s actually a lot of really
  • 16:02 | good pieces of content you can write
  • 16:03 | that beginner’s guide to stargazing how
  • 16:05 | to choose the right telescope budget
  • 16:07 | friendly astronomical astronomical
  • 16:10 | events of the Year comparing different

  • 16:53 | actually rank for and then the key again
  • 16:56 | isn’t just to write a couple of
  • 16:57 | affiliate articles and hope that you’re
  • 16:58 | going to rank it’s to create a number of
  • 17:01 | affiliate articles surrounded by a lot
  • 17:03 | of informational content so that you are
  • 17:05 | seeing as the biggest expert in your
  • 17:07 | Niche alright so we’ve looked at a
  • 17:08 | number of different niches with chat GPT
  • 17:10 | and kind of validated the data to see if
  • 17:12 | we can make money but we need to really
  • 17:14 | understand affiliate marketing and the
  • 17:16 | math and equations behind it because how
  • 17:18 | do we know how much money we’re going to
  • 17:19 | make well we can guess we’re not going
  • 17:21 | to have the perfect you know number in
  • 17:23 | mind but we can actually make a good
  • 17:24 | educated guess based on the niche based
  • 17:27 | on the price of the products the
  • 17:28 | commission rates and all of that so
  • 17:29 | let’s do a couple examples here so let’s
  • 17:31 | say that you have a thousand visitors to
  • 17:34 | your article so you’re ranking for an
  • 17:36 | article you have a thousand visitors to
  • 17:37 | that article well of those a thousand
  • 17:39 | visitors about 300 will actually click
  • 17:42 | on an affiliate link so 700 will
  • 17:44 | probably just leave or read the stuff
  • 17:46 | and leave right they might not click an
  • 17:48 | affiliate link so that’s 300 affiliate
  • 17:50 | link clicks now once they click that
  • 17:53 | affiliate link and they go to the
  • 17:54 | product page we can assume a two percent
  • 17:56 | conversion rate to a sale so they click
  • 17:59 | on like a kayaking affiliate link for a
  • 18:01 | specific kayak they go to that page two
  • 18:03 | percent of them we can assume will
  • 18:05 | actually purchase that kayak so 300
  • 18:08 | affiliate link clicks times a two
  • 18:10 | percent conversion rate is six sales so
  • 18:12 | from a thousand visitors you got six
  • 18:14 | total sales now we have to multiply that
  • 18:16 | by the product price and then our
  • 18:18 | commission rate so let’s say the product
  • 18:20 | is a hundred bucks right so that’s six
  • 18:22 | times 100 that’s 600 in sales for the
  • 18:25 | company you have a 10 commission rate so
  • 18:27 | you come out with sixty dollars so all
  • 18:30 | that work a thousand visitors to your
  • 18:32 | site and you only made 60 bucks not that
  • 18:35 | great you know it’s not horrible but
  • 18:37 | it’s only like maybe three two to three
  • 18:39 | times higher than some ad Revenue you
  • 18:41 | could potentially make by just putting
  • 18:42 | banner ads on the site if you’re in a
  • 18:43 | really good ad Network and a good Niche
  • 18:45 | so thousand visitors 60 bucks not the
  • 18:48 | best but what if
  • 18:49 | the product was a little bit more
  • 18:51 | expensive let’s do the exact same
  • 18:53 | example so now we have a thousand
  • 18:54 | visitors to the site to that one article
  • 18:56 | 300 affiliate link clicks two percent
  • 18:59 | conversion rate equals six sales but now
  • 19:01 | what if the product price is a thousand
  • 19:03 | dollars so that’s now six thousand
  • 19:05 | dollars to the company your ten percent
  • 19:07 | commission would net you six hundred
  • 19:09 | dollars so now we’re talking about a
  • 19:12 | thousand visitors making you six hundred
  • 19:14 | bucks just because you talked about a
  • 19:15 | little bit more expensive products so
  • 19:17 | that’s what you see a little bit more
  • 19:18 | High ticket stuff is important now not
  • 19:21 | every single expensive product is going
  • 19:23 | to be high ticket and make you all that
  • 19:24 | money but you think about it if we
  • 19:26 | increase this number by 10 times and you
  • 19:28 | got ten thousand visitors a month which
  • 19:30 | is very realistic for affiliate articles
  • 19:32 | you could be making six thousand dollars
  • 19:34 | instead of six hundred dollars so this
  • 19:36 | really just depends on your
  • 19:37 | understanding of affiliate marketing and
  • 19:39 | the niche that you choose quick side
  • 19:40 | note like ad revenue is a lot simpler so
  • 19:42 | it’s basically just how much traffic you
  • 19:44 | got to your entire blog and the niche
  • 19:46 | that you’re in that kind of dictates
  • 19:48 | your RPM or Revenue per thousand
  • 19:50 | visitors so you know if you’re writing
  • 19:52 | about really broad stuff ideas party
  • 19:55 | ideas things that are just generally
  • 19:57 | broad your RPM might be like four
  • 19:59 | dollars so you might make four dollars
  • 20:01 | for those banner ads for every thousand
  • 20:02 | visitors to your site whereas if you’re
  • 20:04 | talking about something like Finance or
  • 20:06 | crypto or business software or web
  • 20:09 | hosting or things that are a little bit
  • 20:10 | more business focused and expensive and
  • 20:12 | lucrative your RPM could be up to like
  • 20:15 | forty dollars on the really high end or
  • 20:17 | like you know 25 I was seeing typically
  • 20:19 | 20 to 25 RPMs for a thousand visitors
  • 20:21 | but that’s just pretty simple like
  • 20:23 | that’s just ad Revenue so if your RPM is
  • 20:26 | like twenty dollars you know you’d need
  • 20:28 | a hundred thousand visitors to your blog
  • 20:30 | to make two thousand bucks so again ad
  • 20:33 | revenue is kind of The Last Resort we
  • 20:35 | want to make affiliate Revenue because
  • 20:36 | it has a much higher Roi now but when we
  • 20:38 | think about it there’s an important
  • 20:39 | consideration here with chat GPT and
  • 20:42 | choosing niches and affiliate marketing
  • 20:43 | is that the best affiliate niches aren’t
  • 20:45 | just high priced High ticket so
  • 20:48 | conversion rate the actual conversion
  • 20:50 | rate is out of your control a little bit
  • 20:52 | you can control the amount of clicks
  • 20:53 | that you get on your blog post the
  • 20:55 | affiliate link clicks that you send out
  • 20:56 | by optimizing you know adding buttons
  • 20:58 | making sure that there’s call outs and
  • 21:00 | blocks and easy things to click on
  • 21:03 | but conversion rate is something you
  • 21:05 | can’t control so typically what works
  • 21:07 | the best for affiliate marketing is
  • 21:09 | mid-priced popular products in that
  • 21:11 | category so if I was talking about golf
  • 21:13 | drivers I wouldn’t put some three
  • 21:15 | thousand dollar crazy golf driver number
  • 21:17 | in my number one spot that no one’s
  • 21:19 | heard of yes you’d make more in the math
  • 21:21 | equation but the conversion rate would
  • 21:23 | be super low so people really like to
  • 21:26 | buy things when you think about
  • 21:27 | self-service checkout
  • 21:29 | people have to click your affiliate link
  • 21:31 | go to the website and then check out put
  • 21:34 | things in their cart and leave right so
  • 21:36 | the conversion rate is super important
  • 21:38 | and that’s actually different for every
  • 21:40 | single brand so Amazon’s easy because a
  • 21:42 | lot of people already have an Amazon
  • 21:43 | account they can do that the Amazon
  • 21:44 | commission rates are really low so
  • 21:46 | conversion rate’s the hidden Factor so
  • 21:48 | you don’t just need some random High
  • 21:50 | ticket one-off
  • 21:51 | article that you want to rank for you
  • 21:53 | need a niche where you can rank for
  • 21:55 | dozens of Articles over time and there
  • 21:57 | are a few High ticket opportunities that
  • 21:59 | you can you know monetize then you want
  • 22:02 | to look at like diversifying your
  • 22:03 | revenue streams eventually too outside
  • 22:05 | of just affiliate marketing so these are
  • 22:06 | all things to consider when you’re
  • 22:08 | choosing your Niche so for example if
  • 22:10 | we’re in golf that could be a good Niche
  • 22:12 | because there’s lots of products there’s
  • 22:13 | drivers irons Putters bags range finders
  • 22:16 | all kinds of stuff and there’s a few
  • 22:18 | High ticket ones like golf simulators
  • 22:20 | for example are 10 000 up to twenty
  • 22:23 | twenty five thousand dollars each now
  • 22:25 | the conversion rate on a golf simulator
  • 22:27 | is going to be a lot lower than a putter
  • 22:30 | for example maybe a 200 300 putter will
  • 22:33 | convert a lot higher from an affiliate
  • 22:35 | standpoint and get a lot more traffic
  • 22:36 | potentially than a twenty thousand
  • 22:38 | dollar golf simulator because most
  • 22:40 | people searching for golf simulators are
  • 22:42 | going to want to do a lot of research
  • 22:43 | consideration look at blog posts YouTube
  • 22:45 | videos and the conversion rate’s a lot
  • 22:47 | lower on higher priced products have you
  • 22:48 | ever bought a twenty thousand dollar
  • 22:50 | thing online without talking to the
  • 22:52 | sales person probably not I don’t think
  • 22:53 | I have so another one that could be good
  • 22:56 | is like telescopes like we talked about
  • 22:58 | because there’s low ticket telescopes
  • 23:00 | and higher price telescopes there’s a
  • 23:02 | range of a hundred dollars for a simple
  • 23:03 | beginner child friendly telescope on
  • 23:06 | Amazon all the way up to five or even
  • 23:08 | ten thousand dollars or more for really
  • 23:10 | Advanced you know astronomer type
  • 23:13 | telescopes that are really powerful so
  • 23:15 | you want to look for in any Niche again
  • 23:17 | we’re going back to when we’re choosing
  • 23:19 | these and looking for opportunities we
  • 23:20 | want keywords we can rank for we want
  • 23:22 | lots of informational content that we
  • 23:24 | can write and rank for and we want low
  • 23:26 | ticket opportunities for popular
  • 23:28 | products that are searched a lot maybe
  • 23:30 | the search volume is over a couple
  • 23:31 | thousand a month and then we also want
  • 23:33 | some high ticket opportunities in that
  • 23:35 | niche as well and when you’re seeing
  • 23:37 | these different options so like best
  • 23:39 | telescopes for example you can put low
  • 23:41 | and high ticket options in your one
  • 23:44 | article so that’s the question I get a
  • 23:46 | lot is like do I create a different
  • 23:48 | article for expensive telescopes versus
  • 23:50 | low-end telescopes all you have to do is
  • 23:52 | put a search term into Google and see if
  • 23:54 | the articles are different so if you put
  • 23:56 | in best telescopes you’ll see 10
  • 23:58 | articles ranking in the top 10 spots if
  • 24:00 | you put in best telescopes for beginners
  • 24:02 | you might see
  • 24:04 | completely different articles in the top
  • 24:06 | 10 that’s only beginners or you may see
  • 24:08 | some of the same ones that we’re ranking
  • 24:10 | for best telescope are also just all
  • 24:12 | ranking for that so that’s how you
  • 24:13 | differentiate but what you can do in one
  • 24:16 | article is you can have the low ticket
  • 24:18 | offers and the high ticket offers in one
  • 24:20 | article about telescopes so if you had
  • 24:22 | the top 10 best telescopes number one
  • 24:25 | would be the mid price point most
  • 24:27 | popular everyone knows it product that
  • 24:30 | most people buy has the best conversion
  • 24:32 | rates then you can have more expensive
  • 24:34 | ones down low the low ticket ones but
  • 24:36 | that’s typically how it works I’ve dealt
  • 24:38 | with this before too like I had an
  • 24:39 | article on web hosting for example like
  • 24:41 | the best web hosting and people talk
  • 24:42 | about Bluehost you see every blogger is
  • 24:44 | like oh use Bluehost even though they
  • 24:45 | may or may not be the best one right but
  • 24:47 | they have brand recognition and they
  • 24:49 | convert really well so I I tried to put
  • 24:51 | other ones in the top position and even
  • 24:53 | though I was making like a commission
  • 24:55 | rate for that one that was three times
  • 24:57 | higher than what I would have made they
  • 24:59 | didn’t convert at all so the conversion
  • 25:01 | rates hidden Factor the thing that’s
  • 25:02 | interesting is you can’t really know any
  • 25:03 | of this stuff until you start ranking
  • 25:05 | for it because you don’t know if that
  • 25:06 | company is going to convert or not until
  • 25:07 | you start getting clicks and getting
  • 25:09 | data back so ultimately when you’re
  • 25:11 | writing these transactional articles for
  • 25:13 | affiliate Revenue the goal is to cover
  • 25:15 | your bases so you wanna if you’re
  • 25:17 | writing that article about telescopes
  • 25:18 | you want it to seem like the best
  • 25:20 | possible article so that somebody
  • 25:22 | doesn’t click back and go to another one
  • 25:24 | so that’s why what I mean by cover your
  • 25:26 | bases you think of every possible reader
  • 25:28 | that would read this article from
  • 25:29 | beginner to Advanced expert and everyone
  • 25:32 | in between so that you have those
  • 25:33 | specific products that they want and
  • 25:35 | you’re not missing anything because
  • 25:36 | that’s what happens and then people will
  • 25:38 | go back they’ll click another article
  • 25:40 | they’ll end the search Journey there and
  • 25:42 | then they’ll eventually outrank you if
  • 25:44 | that happens long enough so let’s talk
  • 25:46 | about some goals here so again we want
  • 25:48 | to use something like chat GPT which I
  • 25:50 | don’t recommend for writing blog posts
  • 25:52 | right I have videos on that why that
  • 25:53 | doesn’t work but it could give you some
  • 25:54 | good ideas as a starting point right and
  • 25:57 | then we want to validate those with SEO
  • 25:58 | tools you know meet Glimpse Google
  • 26:00 | Trends things like that your goal should
  • 26:02 | be having a hundred articles in the next
  • 26:04 | two years years which is totally
  • 26:05 | feasible and reasonable that’s like one
  • 26:07 | article a week I actually recommend you
  • 26:09 | do more than that now we’re in this
  • 26:10 | world of AI people are speeding up and
  • 26:12 | writing things faster so I would even
  • 26:13 | say try to get 100 articles in one year
  • 26:15 | if you can
  • 26:16 | and that should be like 80 informational
  • 26:18 | articles with 20 transactionals so you
  • 26:20 | want to have a lot of informational
  • 26:21 | content in your Niche and then you can
  • 26:23 | start broad with one Niche and then
  • 26:26 | Niche down over time so again if we’re
  • 26:28 | talking about Kayaking we can start with
  • 26:31 | kayaking we can try a couple articles on
  • 26:33 | jet skis and things like that until we
  • 26:34 | find what works because that’s the key
  • 26:36 | the ability to Pivot and adapt and
  • 26:38 | change the niche a little bit when we
  • 26:40 | need to we don’t want to write a hundred
  • 26:42 | kayaking articles and none of them
  • 26:43 | really work and we find out it didn’t
  • 26:45 | work for some reason and we can’t pivot
  • 26:46 | so we start with a somewhat broader
  • 26:49 | domain name which is why I recommend a
  • 26:50 | personal brand and move from there
  • 26:52 | honing in on your Niche over time
  • 26:54 | because it can be very difficult to
  • 26:55 | choose the perfect Niche at the
  • 26:57 | beginning you know I get that question
  • 26:58 | all the time what’s the most lucrative
  • 26:59 | one what’s the most profitable one that
  • 27:01 | I should choose well it’s based on
  • 27:02 | individuals that’s why we teach coaching
  • 27:05 | in blog growth engine not just a course
  • 27:07 | right you need to know based on your own
  • 27:10 | unique life experience who you are your
  • 27:12 | identity what you want to talk about you
  • 27:14 | don’t have to be passionate about the
  • 27:15 | thing or an expert in a field by any
  • 27:17 | means but you have to have the momentum
  • 27:19 | and consistency to build this content
  • 27:21 | over the course of a few years if you
  • 27:23 | really want to make real money with this
  • 27:25 | and then we want to you know dominate
  • 27:27 | topical Authority build your personal
  • 27:28 | brand for one thing rank affiliate
  • 27:31 | content add those affiliate links in and
  • 27:33 | make money month after month and then
  • 27:35 | you can look at diversifying revenue
  • 27:36 | streams which is important ad Revenue
  • 27:38 | maybe some sponsorships if you’re
  • 27:39 | ranking for the best kayaks right kayak
  • 27:42 | brands are going to start reaching out
