Gilead operates in more than 35 countries worldwide, with headquarters in Foster City, California.The Assoc Director, HCV Marketing – DTP reports to the Senior Director of HCV Marketing and leads the Direct to Patient/Consumer audience targeting and media strategy and execution for Gilead’s HCV products. This leadership role ensures the success of Gilead’s HCV business by leading innovative patient marketing approaches, delivering branded content for the sales team and championing the communities we serve. This role manages a dynamic DTP/C plan of action to deliver on strategy and execute flawlessly.This is an in-person role, on a hybrid model, based out of our Foster City, CA office.Primary Responsibilities:Implementing key Direct to Patient/Consumer marketing strategies, campaigns, competitive messaging, and tactics.Develops targeted patient approaches for personal (field-based) and non-personal promotion through effective marketing and channel mix such as print, digital, social media, out-of-home, and TV.Effectively translates market research insights to optimize promotional strategies and tactics.Optimizes DTP media channels and mix, including digital, social, print, and television by leveraging agency expertise, KPIs, and ROI analysis.Continually evaluates and champions innovative approaches to strengthen brand loyalty.Develops effective, culturally competent consumer materials and competitive messaging to meet the educational needs of consumers and community partners.Collaborates closely with cross functional teams to ensure coordinated efforts that align with brand strategy and champions the voice of the consumer in broader cross functional initiatives.Develops, coaches, and manages the performance of direct reports.Serving as a key project team member on cross-functional projects.Ensuring operational excellence and compliant activation of all key deliverables.Effectively managing agency partners to produce deliverables within timelines and budgets.Develop and deliver presentations to a range of internal (executives, US leadership team, sales, cross functional colleagues, etc.) and external audiences.Working closely with promotional review committee to manage timelines and ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.Respecting Gilead core values of Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, Inclusion and Accountability.Closely managing and achieving budget targets.Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree and Ten Years’ Experience OR- Masters’ Degree and Eight Years’ Experience OR- PhD and Six Years’ ExperiencePreferred Qualifications:10+ years of marketing experience, primarily within pharma/biotech.Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical experience preferred.MBA preferred, Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related fields required.Direct-to-Patient expertise in prior roles with Advocacy and Community expertise is preferred.Extensive understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory requirements and impact on development of marketing materials experience or exposure to Gilead is preferred.Firm command of financial management with an understanding of expense budget planning and tracking.Prior advertising, digital or communications agency experience a plus.The salary range for this position is: $185,895.00 – $240,570.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
