Callaway Chamber of Commerce names Amy Books as tourism and marketing manager

The Callaway Chamber of Commerce named Amy Books as the tourism and marketing manager, the Chamber announced Thursday.
Books is currently the Chamber’s marketing and special events coordinator. She will transition into her new role June 1.
Under her new role, Books “will be responsible for tourism grants, advertising, and crafting compelling narratives that showcase the vibrant culture, attractions, and businesses within Callaway County,” a release stated.
“This strategic move will see Amy leading marketing and brand storytelling efforts for both the Callaway Chamber of Commerce and Callaway County Tourism,” a release states, adding “With Amy stepping into the role of the Tourism and Marketing Manager, she will bring her extensive experience and creative vision to enhance the Chamber’s marketing strategies and elevate the county’s tourism initiatives,” the release states.
The Callaway County Tourism Board will merge with the Chamber by the end of June, following the retirement of the current tourism director, Renee Graham.
“As we integrate Callaway County Tourism with the Chamber, the strategic evolution of these two roles reflects our dedication to streamlining operations and maximizing synergies,” Chamber CEO Tamara Tateosian said, adding “With these changes, we are poised to elevate our marketing strategies and deliver exceptional events to our members.”
The Chamber plans to hire an events coordinator to lead the Chamber’s ambassador program and plan events throughout the year.
